About Me
What am I playing now? Just finished Starcraft II and finally starting Bioshock 2. Just the first of many backlogged games on my shelf. Damn, being responsible sucks.

Also, check out my Etsy store!

It's a bit boring at the moment but I should be putting up some stuff soon. You can also check out my Flickr if you want to see some of my other work.

Expert Zone Halo deal

If you happen to be one of the many Halo fans, and are eligible for Microsoft's Expert Zone training website, you might want to check out the current rewards. At the expert level, they have been selling Halo: Reach for a measly $15, but just in are the limited and legendary editions for $18 and $45 respectively. Even at newbie level they are a deal at $31 and $75. So, if you are part of the program and haven't already bought your copy, you are in luck.

Thanks for letting us know about that but for a second I thought you were a spambot or something. Maybe I'm just being paranoid... *shrugs*.

How does this work anyway? I've never even heard of this "Expert Zone" before and can't find much information about it. Can I just start an account and automatically buy it cheap or what?

Yeah... Is this for real real? Or for play play?

Definitely not a spam bot but I can understand the paranoia. I don't go there too often so I like to pass on the info when I stumble upon a good deal.

It's a training site for Microsoft if you work at a retailer that sells their products. You take tests to earn points and you can buy stuff on the cheap. They regularly have games and accessories available and on occasion systems, points cards and Xbox live gold memberships. The tests are easy and if you know anything about their stuff you can breeze through them.
The biggest pain is they have a tiered system. When you start out you are a Newbie and don't get the awesome deals. You do more tests to earn points and you get bumped up a level with slightly better deals. After that you get into the Expert tier and that's where the good deals come in. I think they are still running a promotion where you can get Windows 7 Ultimate for $15 if you finish their Windows learning plan.
It's at expertzone.microsoft.com but you have to work at someplace like Target, Best Buy, Gamestop...etc.
