Okay so I'm totally stealing this idea from Tubatic. Not that I didn't do this when I was still recapping, but I want to start doing the Sunday what I'm up to with gaming/blogging post. Just like my community peer Tubatic. Except this ignores the 3-5 minute rule of blogging, like I like to do, and goes on for a good long while. That's how I like to write. I don't know if you guys like to read long articles, but I'm sure at least one or two people do. And like Atlus, it's the one or two guys who are really into it that I write for.

So here we go!

Roboteh on NES - Jim Sterling posted the top ten community vote nonsense of the week. Kind of a jokey feature, but he asked for top NES games. I made a joke post "I don't understand if he wants best games or favorite games." Even though as a nitpicker, there is a difference. D&D Shadow Over Mysteria (which I still want to say Materia!) might not be my favorite beat em up, but it is the best. As I often do with top lists, I looked to see if there was anything I hadn't played.

I found this gem! Listed as "MACROSS" which is the Japanese/pure version of what I know as Robotech. I catch some flak for not liking Macross but loving Robotech, even though I get confused and just watch robot cartoons. Destroids, Vertechs, or whatever else. Doesn't matter. Fact is, I found a new to me nintendo game to hunt down. This game looks incredibly fun.

Yakuza 3 has been my peanut butter. this week. I've soaked almost thirty hours into it or more, and can't stop playing. I would love to write for the front page, and in haste, I did a review of the game. Just noticing the bits I liked and bits I didn't. I realized about that this was, with beat em up gameplay, a wonderful Action RPG. That got me writing about the genre and how I dislike the aesthetic, but actually love playing one. Look out this week for an article about Action RPGs. I talk about Threads of Fate again, which is something I want to do more. I also mention a Mega Ten game, which again, I can't do enough. I've at least three good posts spawning from Yakuza 3. One about side quests, that action RPG post, and that review. And if you count this post as a post, then this post! :) I even have an unpublished Tomopop piece that I want to go up soon! Are you reading this Nihon Tiger?

Mass Effect 2 has been my jam. I'm ten hours in, have half my team assembled. I want to try to do the loyalty missions, but nobody likes me. I'm a renegade. Am I wrong, or is it a blast to be a space jerk?

Mega Man 10 on Playstation 3 has been my bread. In between nunchucking yakuza and pressing the xbox right stick as far diagonal right as it can go, I've been playing Mega Man 10. I've a Protoman game on easy and Mega Man game on normal. Both are equally at Wily's Castle level 1. I want to at least beat these stages once. Normally, I prefer to play just the boss levels and not Wily's castle. I'm never a fan of the last levels. I'm enjoying it, but I have some criticisms. I might do a review this week and give some more in depth thoughts! I want to buy the DLC today, not in weeks!

And this community member validates me as being a community member in ways they'll never know! Don't think I've not forgotten about Bonerquest either. Bonerquest HD is coming at some point! I'm just too busy with Tomopop, work, video games, the girlfriend, the dog, and eating!

Netflix! - I really want to start writing about what's on netflix. There's actually some good stuff on there, buried deep in the site. I watched several things this week: I still know what you did last summer, which I had seen most of before, but forgot. It was hilarious and fun, making me giggle throughout the film! I've qued up both sequels for the top DVDs and am anxious to see those.

I also qued up Godzilla's more recent movies, although I might just buy those off Amazon. Seriously, if you've not seen Godzilla Final Wars That is by far one of the better Godzilla movies. Netflix stream also has another from the millenium series, Tokyo SOS. I highly reccomend as a stand alone Godzlila Vs Mechagodzilla 2. That's the one with SPOILER ALERT: MECHA KING GHIDARAH!

Mallrats I watched half of clerks the other day, and usually when I start on the Kevin Smith train I go full circle. I watched Couple of Dicks in theaters, you might know it as Cop Out. I enjoyed that as well. I had forgot until we're on the way into the theater that I now hate Kevin Smith. Girlfriend says "I thought you hated Kevin Smith?" I said I didn't think so, I owned most of his crap. She reminded me about that Spider-man storyline he did that retconned Black Cat's origin that was douche chill bad. Not in so many words, "something about Black Cat?" To which I went into the movie trying not to bring up comic book nonsense. Sure it bothers me, but I'm sure somebody else retconned his retcon. It's how comics go. Besides, Black Cat isn't important to anyone besides me, right?

Farscape season 1 I started watching this show. It's fantastic! I love muppetry and this is nonstop muppets! Also as far as TV goes, I'm watching Season 2 Saturday Night Live. I just finished the first season this week and began the second. As someone into comedy, I'm into this stuff. Chevy Chase hasn't left yet, to give you an idea how early on I am!

Flatliners Bad guy from Lost Boys is hilarious in this one! Julie Robers has her big lips! Kevin Bacon says things. One of the Baldwin brothers is haunted by visions of pussy. No, seriously. This movie was fun!

Rescue Me season 5 The last bits of Rescue Me before the new season. It's hilarious drama with some comedy. Sure the guy might have stolen Bill Hicks act, and I hate him deeply for that, but he's got a decent show. And if you don't know Bill Hicks, go watch Bill Hicks. Like right now.

Not to make a long post longer, but I want to talk about my Tomopop work. I don't know from anime toys. Other people seem to jump on video games or comic books before I even get a whiff of them. I've written about stuff I know about, movies, games, comics, and just really funny random toys. Something about a Jack Sparrow toy. Someone took one toy and made it into the Penguin from Batman. Then I wrote about it. Does anybody like really love Lost Planet? I found a Japanese only color variant toy collectors edition.



If you read one thing I wrote on Tomopop, besides that awesome Ghostbuster post, I urge you to take a look at this piece. Amazon was having a sale on toys and it was said that nobody could find anything to write about. I knew I could find something of interest and found some of the worst toys released. Not from twenty years ago either, these are all recent toys! How this got no comments is beyond me!

Lastly I wrote about a pikachu that comes ice cream. It was edited around so that it says bowel movement in one of the lower pargraphs, but if you read closely, you'll see I'm implying this Pikachu is jizzing.
