MY IRL NAME IS GARY
Gaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy...........
Oh shit I need to check that out.
GARY!
That is one of the best parts of the game along with the Oasis quest.
WORST VAULT EVARRRR.
This was meant as a hurtful joke directed at Garison.
Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary? Gary?
The Dunwich building was pretty creepy for me, go check that shit out :)
have you found the lovecraft-esqe spire under the abandoned factory?
There were many parts of that game that made me uneasy. One in particular was a small town (3 or 4 houses) in which everything seemed a little too perfect, and yet you discover that was not the case. I won't say which town it was for spoiler reasons (and maybe because i can't remember it's name...shut up)but the encounter has no real climax, and that leaves me feeling all the more uneasy. Soylent Green. Nuff said.
Is the attack of the clones.
I hated the hallucination vault. Having visions creep me out.
The vault that creeped me out the most was the one where there was shit in the air (I think it was the musicians and artists vault). Screen kept flashing blue...
Sadly the best experiences in that game aren't even a part of the story. I finished the story track in about 7 hours. I'm glad I started it after visiting all of the discoverable locations and doing the side missions. I clocked in 161 hours on that game -- which is extremely uncharacteristic of my very short attention span.
GARY MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT?
Havent been there yet (although i think ive been to most of the other vaults).
But I think theres something worse.
GIANT FUCKING SCORPIONS. Fuck that. Fuck. That. Fuck it with a fucking Fat Man at close range, just to make it go away.
The Gary vault was fucking awesome.
The hallucination vault was more of a mindfuck than Gary's in my opinion. Nothing in there took more than a couple of V.A.T.S hits but the way that vault made me question my own sanity reminded me of Eternal Darkness. In the best possible way.
The fact that the sanity aspect of that vault isn't a central aspect of the core gameplay really freaked me out. I had been playing for hours when I first stumbled across it, and by that point I'd gotten used to the way things were working.
It freaked me right out.
The Gary Vault was great, I thought the Dunwich building was scariest though.
It's at the bottom left of the map.
I was fine with that vault, the only part of the game that made me feel gross was the necro-beastiality.
Aahhh, Gary.
I love searching through vaults and large buildings, always something fucked up going on.
I love Fallout!!!! Keep searching there is a little town that is pretty crazy.
I played this while listening to RetroforceGO! so the Gary dialogue was replaced by Chad's maniacal laughing fits.
wandering through the underground metro stations and hearing the sudden DEET DEET DEET of a landmine is always good for a jump.
[LOL SPOILER]
While not necessary creepy, nuking Megaton and then running into a certain storekeeper with an overwhelmingly sunny disposition made me feel a twinge of guilt that I haven't feel in a video game in a long time.
/Fallout 3 is underrated.
I think I've been to the "happy town" everyone's bringing up. It really didn't creep me out, it was kind of obvious and has been done too many times for it to affect me.
Holy sh!t I forgot about that place. And yes, it was damn creepy.
