The Red Sun Guild stood on the 8th floor and before laid unknown terrors. They assemble at the entrance, checking their gear and bandaging their wounds. Marco, the protector, walked forwards a bit to examine the dark and overgrown passage ahead. He complicated about the five days ahead of them and how difficult it would be. Sure they prepared by supplying them selves with the best armor, weapons, and plenty of food but five days without starving, dying, or without early departure was something that done. Thank god there was a resting point.
I was on the quest to stay on the 8th floor for 5 days. Now if you didn’t know, moving thirty spaces increases time by an hour. Five times thirty is one hundred and fifty. One hundred and fifty times twenty four is three thousand six fucking hundred spaces moved. Moving one space takes a second. Along with randomized battles this entirety takes around three to four hours of time IRL. And there was no leaving that floor either. The quest was to stay on the 8th floor for 5 days straight. That means without departure or saving or dying.
The group made it to the 8th floor but instead of just waiting near the water, they felt adventurous and wanted to level up. The group headed out to kill the various plant monsters that inhabited the jungle. Curiosity struck Punk, the party’s Landsknecht, so he walked toward where her herd that “bird like” noise before, the area that they avoided. The group had no intention of fighting the bird but Punk thought he’d snitch it’s egg. So They ran. The medic saw the black foreboding mass in the center and ran. The party kept probing the patches to find where the egg was. There it was, it was found, the F.O.E. found the group. With agility, the party slipped my way through a concealed opening and took a deep breath.
That was the Red Sun had to try. Quickly, they rushed of the closed area and tried to move around the F.O.E. but entered a random battle. Shit, and there is a Fangleaf and a Manhunter! There was one turn to take both out or the Wyvern would come to my position.
Long story short, no damage could be done, the dragon killed off the medic, the landsknecht, and the dark hunter. All was left was a protector and an alchemist and there was no chance. The only thing left to do was to use the protecting skill and to flee.
I then learned that Flee teleports you to the next floor. My five day-quest was reset and more than half of my party was dead. I then went to my item menu for a warp wire and… I fucking forgot to buy a warp wire. Not being able to get out of the dungeon I threw my DS across my room... Only to keep playing what is now my favorite RPG. At the 5th Stratum now and still that Wyvern isn’t dead.
