Yo East Coast, where you at?
Hello, fellow D-toiders, my name is Andrew and I reside in New York City. It has been such an amazing experience being a part of this wonderful community. From my activities as a host of the Friday Night Fight events to becoming one of the community members responsible for handling the Destructoid NY group, coordinating East Coast meetups to helping the PAX meetup group, I have loved every minute of my time spent with this community.
Please hang out with other Dtoid members whether it would on the main site or chatting to your local Dtoid group. It can be life changing, trust me on that.

I never go to the forums. Why not post it everywhere? I get all of my FNF info from the cblogs and Grim's Friday evening post.

I read it, and it came off really douchey. Who appointed you keeper of the cblogs/fnf posts? We have a shark for that. And what's the problem with 15 fnf cblog posts? Worried about posts being pushed down? We have a shark for that, and some awesome recappers.

I voluntered to, every week, take time out of my work day, get together all the information for everyone that wants to host and play 360 games on friday night, and convienently post it in one post. I'm sorry I'm being a douche and trying to make it easy for everyone to see what's available in one post as opposed to having to search through eight different posts, sometimes for the same game. I'm sorry you feel the need to push more responsibility on Hamza, who, on top of being community manager, you feel needs to be responsible for getting together all the seperate entities that make up a friday night fight hosting list. I'm sorry that you feel that me politely asking power-glove to post in this in the thread in the forums is me screaming "forums" like all the "cool kids" do. And I'm sorry you think so lightly of all the people who actually put time and effort into their blogs that they'd like to have seen soon after they post them than the next day when someone is more likely to scan over a brief discription of it on a recap page.
Oh, and why not have the info everywhere? That's kind've what I'm doing. Thank you for your time.
re-read your paragragh again. YOU need to relax. People who volunteer, or get paid, to do their jobs get no sympathy from me.

I simply asked why info couldn't be disseminated EVERYWHERE. I can't get into the forums at work. I depend on the cblog posts/Grim's post to know who is playing what and when.
Posts do get pushed down. Hamza promotes the worthy, and everything gets recapped. So what is the deal there?
I wasn't making light of what you and others do; it is appreciated. But you seem to be getting mighty defensive over volunteer work. When that happened to me, I quit recapping.

You asked why the info can't be spread everywhere. That's the point of the forum to cblog to front page jump. So everyone, regardless of their dedication to dtoid, or preference of places on dtoid, can see it.
And Hamza doesn't promote every blog that deserves to be on the front page, but he does a good job of getting some of the better ones up there. I'm not getting defensive, well, much, and I'm glad you at least said why you can't view the forums, so that makes sense, it's just some people have an almost xenophobic fear of going there, and it confounds me.
