skate... in.... space!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tehee @ we're dropping the deuce.
You might want to fix up that link.
And it's power-glove with the BBCode save! By the way you've become the cblog sleuth around here.
I think they were parodying 2001: A Space Odyssey and the monolith floating in space. I dont think it will actually be in space haha. But I really loved the first skate.
Nice to see a good teaser trailer that actually teases.
Sadly, it trails a commercial I can't skip :/
Well the Tony Hawk franchise did have that level on the moon...
Even though that trailer showed us absolutely nothing.....
I will be shitting my pants in anticipation until it comes out.
Skate was my favorite game this generation so far (until GTA IV that is), I can't wait to see what they do with this one.
What I really hope for though is better vert control, ability to do handplants and the like, and some flatland tricks. I want to be doing me a 360 No Comply and other variations of it. Also..... let us get off the board in a tasteful manner that works well within the context of the game.
One more thing..... if GTA IV can let 16 players free-roam Liberty City in it's entirety, at least 4 of us better be able to skate the entire city together (lag free) in Skate 2. Just sayin'.
@ Steel Squirrel
Agreed.
Skat was definitely my most pleasant surprise of last year, I'll for sure get the second one.
I, too, found skate. to be the most exciting and fun "next-gen/current-gen" game besides GTA 4. In fact, I took a small break from GTA this weekend to skate around San Van for an hour or two. Ahhh, skate 2.
I agree with Steel Squirrel. Walking should be easy to implement, but I'd love to see creative ways for flatground and lip tricks.
Skate was awesome and that trailer sucked but I am still excited for the game.
Worst teaser evar, worse than Resistance 2. Hopefully they will give the game a decent frame-rate this time around.
I never managed to reach that point with the controls where it felt fluid and natural in skate. I'd always wind up doing the wrong trick at the wrong time. No fault of the game, but I doubt I'll be picking up a sequel.
The thing I hope for most in Skate 2 is a modifier button of some sort to allow me to not repeat tricks over and over due to their set ups being identical to tricks I don't want to do. I loved Skate, and I owned more than a few spots...I just hope they tighten up a solid base for the controls.
Skate was awesome, one of the few games where I can actually have fun by just dicking about and thinking 'what can I do here'. More of the same would be welcomed, but I am intreagued to see what they're going to try and change in the sequel.
