About Me

Yo East Coast, where you at?

Hello, fellow D-toiders, my name is Andrew and I reside in New York City. It has been such an amazing experience being a part of this wonderful community. From my activities as a host of the Friday Night Fight events to becoming one of the community members responsible for handling the Destructoid NY group, coordinating East Coast meetups to helping the PAX meetup group, I have loved every minute of my time spent with this community.

Please hang out with other Dtoid members whether it would on the main site chat to your local Dtoid group. It can be life changing, trust me on that.

Activision's take on the car combat game has returned for an XBLA release.
Details:
"ACTIVISION ANNOUNCES VIGILANTE 8: ARCADE FOR XBOX LIVE ARCADE

Santa Monica, CA – February 14, 2008 – Activision, Inc. announced today the next installment in the classic vehicular-combat franchise Vigilante 8, Vigilante 8: Arcade for Xbox LIVE Arcade. Licensed and developed by Isopod Labs, Vigilante 8: Arcade is an all new remake of the original game, featuring online play with up to eight players and a host of new content, taking full advantage of next-generation technologies.

The title is scheduled for release via download on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 this spring and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

For more information and exclusive updates on Vigilante 8: Arcade, please visit http://www.v8arcade.com/

If the multiplayer modes are good, then this game could really be a good pickup.

V8 is a great game and all, but uh shouldn't have they focused on "Interstate 76"?

Like twisted metal. Hey this was supposed to come out over a year ago!

Good stuff. I'm looking forward to playing as Sid Burn again...

It's fun -- the wife and I still play this from time to time. I still have the original game, so I don't see this download in my future.

I fuckin' loved the original on N64. I was always so jealous of my friend who has Twisted Metal on his PS1.

I never played the sequel, though.

If this sells well, I hope they would consider a full-on relaunch of the franchise with true current-gen power under the hood.

I was just thinking about this game the other day. If I can't find the Dreamcast version, I may pick this up.

I never played this back in the day. If it was Twisted Metal 2 and it was car combat I pretty much scoffed at it. That being said I would be willing to check it out for 800 ms points. If they try to charge 1200 for it, which I suspect they might, I'll just be trying the demo.

Will be buying this one! Someone else get it and play with me!
It's not Twisted Metal 2, but it's pretty close!
