Yo East Coast, where you at?
Hello, fellow D-toiders, my name is Andrew and I reside in New York City. It has been such an amazing experience being a part of this wonderful community. From my activities as a host of the Friday Night Fight events to becoming one of the community members responsible for handling the Destructoid NY group, coordinating East Coast meetups to helping the PAX meetup group, I have loved every minute of my time spent with this community.
Please hang out with other Dtoid members whether it would on the main site chat to your local Dtoid group. It can be life changing, trust me on that.

Now, there were a lot of rumors swirling about which games would be making an appearance at today's Microsoft's special RPG preview event. But, today we got answers to some of our questions. Tri-Ace and Square-Enix are bringing the next Star Ocean game to the Xbox 360. From what I can gather this game is a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. Below, is a trailer for the game.

Also good to hear the release dates for The Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery and a near simultaneous worldwide release at that :-D Happy Days!
I have to wonder if this is because the PS3 is being a pain to program for.
It's weird Square didn't announce any new properties. They had said before that they had some in store for the 360. Guess they'll come next year.
Reminds me I need to pick up the ps2 to ps3 memory adapter.
"Square Enix producer Yoshinori Yamagishi cleared things up during a roundtable interview session that followed the press conference. Asked if the game is 360-only, he said, "We cannot announce anything on that. We can say that it will be released first [on the Xbox 360]. Whether we'll release it on the PS3 is undecided. We may release it, we may not."
That is why I think it is a timed exclusive.

This is great news, but I think that Square learned the hard way, that there is an audience for these games on 360. Who did they learn this from? None other than Mistwalker, who've done well with Lost Odyssey in spite of Square.

Also, if it basically becomes Final Fantasy in Space, I will KILL someone.
Actually both Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey have underperformed and sold relatively poorly.

Don't forget that Tales of Vesperia was listed on the Namco Bandai website to be coming to the PS3 (before they took it down) although it could be a Japan only thing like Eternal Sonata. The Last Remnant looks like it's coming to the PS3 as well and while the 360 is getting Infinite Undiscovery the PS3 is getting White Knight Story (I think that's being made by Square-Enix). So both consoles look pretty strong at the moment unless Infinite Undiscovery or White Knight Story turns out to be crappy...
