About Me

Yo East Coast, where you at?

Hello, fellow D-toiders, my name is Andrew and I reside in New York City. It has been such an amazing experience being a part of this wonderful community. From my activities as a host of the Friday Night Fight events to becoming one of the community members responsible for handling the Destructoid NY group, coordinating East Coast meetups to helping the PAX meetup group, I have loved every minute of my time spent with this community.

Please hang out with other Dtoid members whether it would on the main site chat to your local Dtoid group. It can be life changing, trust me on that.

Rock Band DLC 4/8-Serious Deja Vu Edition-Those OXM Exclusive Tracks
power-glove | 1:12 PM on 04.04.2008 10 comments

In an attempt to give the PS3 owners a little bit of comfort for their wait, this was announced.

"Next week for DLC we have the HMX Pack (previously only available via the OXM disc). Each track is $.99 (80 Microsoft Points) or $2.99 (240 Microsoft points) for the whole pack.

"Rock Rebellion" by Bang Camaro (master)

"Shake" by Count Zero (master)

"Super Sprode" by Freezepop (master)"

HMX

That is right PS3 owners here is your chance to get those tracks that you thought you would never be released.

Protip:PS3 owners, buy each song individually. You will save money.

I have these already and I definitely recommend Rock Rebellion and Sprode.

Yes on the Bang Camaro song, a maybe on the Count Zero song and a resounding fuck no on the Freeze Pop song. 2/3 isn't bad.

So is Harmonix just biding their time till the PS Network gets back up? "Still Alive" was cool and free, I was just expecting everything to go up a notch after the Rock Band Store was launched.

Needs more Ramones.
Freezepop is in every fucking music game.
Don't really hate the tracks, but more Freezepop?
Really? Is that necessary?

Freezepop is awesome. They've been working with Harmonix since Frequency. In fact, many songs in Frequency and Amplitude were done by members of Freezepop. "DJ HMX" and "Symbion Project" are pretty much the same members of Freezepop with a different name. If you listen, You can hear that Liz from Freezepop is singing "Synthesized." Freezepop really helped flesh out a lot of Harmonix's earlier games, so I think they pretty much don't want to say to Freezepop: "Ok now we're all famous now, thanks for all the help but uh, yeah we don't want you in the new games."

@Dr Milkdad

Your brain is too musically inferior to handle the awesome that is Freezepop. I feel very, very sorry for you.
