Especially since he gave AC a 9!! But seriously, I don't care about review scores (though I still find that discrepency amazing). If this is true though, it's really fucking sad.
If only there were some sort of independent gaming blog with an active community to provide multiple opinions on games we could just ignore those 1up goons once and for all.
I don't even look at reviews anymore, I just rent the damn thing and play it myself. Buy it if I like it, pocket the change if I don't.
Fuck those goddamn reviewers and their slanted greased palm bullshit.

It's Gamespot. I actually like 1up (though their PSU review was a little suspect).
Gamespot has good reviews most of the time, or better than IGN at least.
And Kane & Lynch doesn't deserve any higher than a 6, the game had a good story and was a great idea, but Eidos just didn't make it fun.
Gamespot isn't all that bad. I can take 'em or leave 'em to be honest. That said, if there's any truth to this whatsoever, then they can fuck 'emselves in the arsehole with a rusty pipe. Turned sideways even. That's dirty pool I says.

Not that I'm a Gamespot fan or anything but I think it's insanely idiotic that he would have lost employment for DOING HIS JOB.
I hated his reviews. And he really was the face of Gamespot, after Rich Gallup left, which is when Gamespot went to complete and total shit. He got fired, that's too bad, but fucking hilarious.

I was refering to the score not the quality of the review
Unfortunately, in the eyes of some gamers a 6 is poor review score.
And if this rumor is true, Eidos thinks so too.
I'll wait to see how this all turns out before I stop reading Gamespot.
I'm pretty sure Eidos doesn't have the clout to pressure an independent website into firing a key reviewer.

Also, the only game he reviewed out the the games that you guys have listed is Kayne & Lynch. Other people reviewed AC and Mass Effect. And if u want to go complain about a review score, just be quiet about it and go enjoy the game for yourself.

Thank you. I hate when people assume Jeff reviews every goddamn game ever invented or something. AC and Mass Effect were both reviewed by Kevin VanOrd.
Surprised Destructoid doesn't have this officially up yet. They're usually the first ones to break this sort of stuff.
Personally I don't care for Gamespot, IGN and especially 1up. It was one of the reasons why I looked elsewhere and found this haven of crazy ass gamers with unbiased opinions. Yet wrong is wrong and the integrity that Gamespot may have had is flushed down the toilet. Time for lemon to start the "Fuck You Eidos" blog.
