According to Dark Zero, the people at Activision have finally decided to give the franchise a little bit of a break and decided to not put out a home console version of a Tony Hawk game this year.
Apparently, the Activision plans on "reinventing Tony Hawk from the ground up," and it's about time. I don't know about you but Skate seems to have made much more of an impact then we have realized. Although, I'm guessing the real reason why there isn't a Tony Hawk game this is fact that Neversoft is going to be hard at work on GH4. But not to worry Hawk fans, Activision plans to make a DS title that is scheduled for this year.

a little healthy competition between EA and neversoft could only benefit the skate loving gamers.
Can't say I have any willingness to go back to the tony hawk games.
A little break is definitely needed. I only wish Madden would do the same.
