I am an admitted Rock Band and it was going to take a lot for me to even want another Guitar Hero after the garbage that Activision has been pulling but there are couple reasons why you should be interested in the latest version.
"- Create a song. Although these exclude vocals due to storage and possible copyright issues.
- You'll be able to name your song as well as creating album art. After you've done all that you can upload it to GH Tunes where anyone can download it.
- You'll be limited to 5 songs at first. But depending on the ratings you get you'll possibly be able to upload 10 or more.
- The song sharing mode will be in the Wii and PS2 versions also, but GI says it's unlikely that it'll be as robust as the PS3 and 360 versions.
- Drums, bass, vocals guitar
- Create a rocker
- Create a guitar and drums
- All songs will be master tracks
- They don't want to discuss specifics on track listing out of fear of being scooped by the competition. However they confirmed 4 bands: Van Halen, The Eagles, Linkin Park and Sublime."
Let's get one thing out of the way. There are ripping off Rock Band's four member setup, blatantly and some of their creator features
But, I have to admit that Create a song feature sounds cool. It could be a great tool for some small bands to get there songs out there for people to try. However, after seeing those Guitar Hero customs from the other games, consider me skeptical of how good any of those charts will be.
It's good to know that all of the songs will be masters and I can't help but laugh at this.
"They don't want to discuss specifics on track listing out of fear of being scooped by the competition."
You think that MTV does not already know what is available to get. Ha ha.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (360)
- RARE says they didn't want to make a hi res version of the old Banjo platformer.
- You create vehicles with parts you find around the levels.
- GI says their first vehicles was a 4 wheeled kart with a spring attached to the bottom that allowed them to jump things. They later found a helicopter blade that allowed their kart to fly. Later they added balloons to the vehicle and put the blade on the back and created a hovercraft.
- RARE showed them a vehicle that was a monster truck that was able to detach its chasis to become a mini bike. When the bike ramped off a cliff it revealed collapsible glider wings and started flying.- There will be 1,600 parts including weapons that you'll be able to attach to the vehicles.
- The town is called Showdown Town.
- GI says that despite the large focus on vehicles it still features platform elements from the previous games like traditional platforming, tight rope walking and jiggy piece collecting.
- Showdown Town is 16 times larger than anything RARE has created before.
- Every level has a different intro. Nutty Acres begins with a credits spoof of 80's soap opera's like Dallas.- Note collecting is back and will act has currency that'll allow you to bu vehicle blueprints.
- RARE says there are 15 different challenges spread across 6 different levels. There will also be side missions.
Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise
- Improved interactivity between the pinata's and the environments.
- Pinata's will mimic each others action and follow the leader around the garden.
- They'll be adding toys for the pinatas to play with like musical instruments, spaced themed toys, and trains that the pinata's will ride around the garden.
- 30 new pinatas.
- 2 new sub areas called Pinarctic and Dessert that'll allow you to travel to new locations and lay traps for the pinatas.
- A photo mode will allow you to upload pictures to the website.
- A drop in and drop out co op mode.
- Improved UI.
I'm done.
Where am I supposed to store all the instruments for both Guitar Hero and Rock Band now?
That is another good question,Mxy. If Guitar Hero 4 is not compatable with the Rock Band equipment, then they have really screwed this up.
I'm not buying another set of peripherals.
If Activision is going to be a bitch about it again. I'm not going to bother with a GH ever again.
I agree. If there will be new pheriphials, i'm done with GH.
Yeah, i'm not throwin' down another 170.
Hmm, this news may make me buy the game if I am able to use the Rock Band drums with it.
"Neversoft mentions that their goal is for the drums to be quieter than the ones in RB. There are also 6 parts to it as it'll have 2 cymbals."
Oh, great.
2 cymbals, huh? Fuckers. Looks like I need to hurry up and get another job, so as to be able to pay for all this shit. Fucking Activision sucks balls.
Interesting. Its cool that they got Sublime, but fuck Linkin Park. I don't know why so many people like Linkin Park. Their first CD was decent, only decent. After that, their CDs are absolute batshit.
SO YOU FINALLY ADMIT TO BEING A ROCK BAND. THE TRUTH IS OUT.
And well... I don't have Rock Band (or a console for it) yet, so maybe by then this will be out? I dunno, we'll see.
Create your own song huh? Sound pretty nice!
SWPM: No, you can map songs not create them.
Fuck new peripherals. If I have to buy all new shit, then fuck you guys.
At this point I don't think there's anything they can do anymore. I've lost interest in them. The whole song thing is cool but not cool enough. So yeah, I think I'll stick to Rock Band rather than purchasing Guitar Hero IV which basically sounds like Rock Band 1.5.
$200 dollar price tag?
Guess I won't be buying a GH game ever again.
Bah, Linkin Park. Not to hate on the music itself(i hate to admit, i still kind of like the old stuff), but the guitar and bass sections will be boring, no question. And i dont know anyone that can sing anything like chester. Activision is going for popularity again like in GH 3, instead of trying to pick songs that are the most fun to play.
I fully agree with Anglesdontburn. If you own rockband, theres no real point in buying this, unless somehow they get a ridiculously large and awesome songlist, and theyre already failing at that.
Did we miss the part where power-glove talked about Banjo-Threeie!? 1,600 FUCKING PARTS FOR VEHICLES. THIS GAME WILL ROCK SO FUCKING HARD!
This definitely sounds cool, but I’m not paying another $170+ for new peripherals.
Thank you Clockwork! That shit was awesome about making a helicopter and a hovercraft. Fucking sw33t!
I had to pay $350 for my rock band.
So, give me compatible things or GTFO!
I think I'm done with GH. A) I don't wanna buy all new peripherals (although their guitars are better than the RB ones, I may buy one of them) and B) Activision doesn't support their games post release NEARLY as strongly as MTV and EA have with RB. I'm not a musician, I don't give a fuck about creating my own songs. I'll stick with RB.
Also, I am officially interested in Banjo.
