Wow, doesn't this look familiar. If you can't tell, there are the usual five fret buttons in their usual spots and, then, there are five frets that at the bottom of the neck. Gee, I wonder what they are meant for.
Well, this picture shows us that we will probably be able to use our original GH controllers because there is no way on Earth I want to be forced into buying a another guitar controller.
Oh it is totally obvious they are coping RB. I mean there is no way they aren't. If RB hadn't come around we'd probably be seeing GH4 in the same vein as GH 1, 2 and 3.
@Gynecologist Cobra & NotAZombie:
They maybe copying RB but at least they are trying to add new features in as well. Who knows if it'll turn out to be any good though... but competition is good yes? hopefully it'll drive harmonix to do something even better
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

The new buttons look like the are inset?
In the GameInformer article, they talked about "clear notes" on the fret runway. Are they extra "solo notes" to be played with the lower buttons?
Guitar hero would be so much better if it had 10 buttons. Or 20 or 200 buttons. More buttons Activision! Work on it.
I was hoping they'd use the Gibson Flying V model but look at the pretty colors!
You guys still want to say they're not copying Rock Band?
@ GC
