So, now I'm on a one month hiatus from gaming. Where before I was pissed about not having time to play, I've committed myself to putting down the mouse/keyboard/gamepad/iPodTouch for an entire month. I got really sick back around Christmas Day and my wife seems to think that I don't get enough rest, so she suggested and I agreed to take a month with no games. No Gears of War 2, Fable II, Resistance 2, Left 4 Dead (PC). Oh well. I've even got a friend at work who keeps reminding me that we need to play through GoW2 co-op on Insane to get the achievement. Damn, well I'll have to post again once the ban is over. LAME!!!

Lucky you.

I don't think I could ever do something like that.

I should have made that a new years resolution. No gaming AT ALL? I'd find that practically impossible, but I think I'e been inspired to try it thanks to this blog... but just not yet.

I would need to prep before hand before I do something like that. Like stockpile on books.

Are you overweight, stressed out, and sleeping 6 hours a day? That was me last year. I used to get sick all the time. I went from a size 36 to a 29 primarily by switching to diet soda and never eating french fries. I have been way better ever since.

@Niero

I did a similar thing. I don't drink soda or eat anything unhealthy. My body feels better and stronger for it.

Heh, Niero seems to be doing fine, so have I thanks to not gaming at all except my PSP everyone once in a while. School, Workout/SAT and Sleep.

ATTENTION Everyone

I don't mean to steal the blog but I'm really worried about the SATs? What are the best books/websites, I'd appreciate it.

I apologize about this player66

I've been doing something similar, and it really is strange how little steps can improve you quickly. Just taking an hour long walk every once in a while, cutting out pop almost eentirely, and cutting back on food intake really has left me feeling loads better.

How the hell does no games = more rest? i mean maybe LESS games, but none what-so-ever? Me has a feeling your wife duped you into her brilliant scheme.

@Niero,

Overweight - Check
Unhappy - Check
Lack of sleep - Check

I've started feeling better already since getting more sleep, but my (and I totally love her for all other things) cunty wife has been purchasing all the crap that I'm trying to avoid eating/drinking.

In the meantime, I'm gonna really enjoy Feburary 2nd...Fable II here I come.
