ok... I keep seeing this referenced, and admittedly I'm not into music much - but can someone please explain what the hell a "chiptune" is??
... I'm sorry, but I keep thinking of Alvin and chipmunks and that it's songs sped up to sound like them! LOL! (though I'm sure that can't be it, as this would be only mildly entertaining for a very short period of time before it slipped over into the irritating side!).
Has anyone done a blog explaining chiptunes?? A reference would be great!
@Elsa: There's actually a really good Wikipedia article, here. Simply put: original music that sounds like VG game music. Zen Albatross is a chiptune master. You might find his blog to be quite informative.
