There are two types of people that bought Halo 3 – Haloists and gamers. Haloists are those that have spent over 50 hours playing the game since it's release and are at an alarming high rank on rank MP. Then there are the rest of us that play the game for fun. Of course, I am excluding the anti-Halo groups, which are totally against the game. But, those guys usually don’t own an Xbox 360.
As a gamer, I would have to say it was worth picking up a copy of Halo 3 –- here are my top 3 reasons why:
Single Player /Co-op
Ok, so I was NOT a Halo 2 fan at all. I though the story was ok at best and very short. Once I was done, that was it for the single player. Halo 3 changes this by adding replay value with a little something called co-op. You can play the story line with different friends; bringing you a different experience every time you go through a level. As of today, I have yet to do the single player…well, single. I am always with a friend helping them or them helping me.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer can be a whole lot of fun with friends. As I am sure all of you have experienced, Xbox Live has become Halo 3 Live. All my friends on my Friend List are playing Halo 3, pretty much at all times of the day. So, not having the game can be a very lonely and friendless world.
New Video System
This new feature is just amazing. You can record all your games and upload pictures and clips to Bungie.net to share online. You can even do file sharing on your 360 with your friends. My favorite though, is the ability to watch recordings in a party with all your friends.
Halo 3 is a great game, but it might not be the coming of Christ either as some would put it. Gaming is about having fun and Halo 3 is fun when it’s done right.
[Discuss] Why did you get the game? Or why havent you?
PS: This is my last Halo 3 post, I promise!
everything else they've thrown in is a bonus, and what a bonus they've added in the form of, well, the whole goddamn package!
just add people who's writing style you like.
Hope this helps,
That is all.
I dunno, you tell us.
It is funny that you made a post about why we should get Halo 3 when you only make posts about BUYING Halo 3 and comments about BUYING Halo 3.
Didn't know there was a question in mind here...
It's all good though, =)
I have a 360 and I vastly dislike Halo. This is one of the main reasons why I hate Halo, people think that you HAVE to buy the fucking game if you have a 360, like there aren't any other games on the system worth buying. I bought my 360 for Gears and Dead Rising.
I haven't bought Halo 3 because I don't have a 360, and I don't have a 360 yet because the Wii/DS lineup is awesome for this Fall (Zelda/Galaxy/Brawl/Metroid/Zack&Wiki/ContraIV/+++). Also, most of my money is going to be transferred to car payments/gas money in the following days - because then I will finally have a car of my own...
I think that Forge/Co-Op/Multiplayer are the reason to get Halo 3, and that the everything else is just gravy. I don't think Bungie had to reinvent the wheel, because people wanted more of Halo: CE and less of Halo 2, but a lot of people have appeared in the past few days with opinions like: "what is the big deal, Halo is like any other FPS..yada...yada...yada."
Do those people hate fun?
Yes they do...
sold yet? if not you should put your controller down now and never pick it up again... evar
fair enough
