A Warning about Terminator Salvation

I am saving everyone here the money. DO NOT BUY TERMINATOR SALVATION!

If you must rent it, then get it for one or two days. I rented it this morning at 10:30, played till about 12:30. Just picked it up again at 5PM and beat it 5 minutes ago. That is a whopping 3 hours of game play on the hardest setting.

On top of that the game is the obvious rushed movie tie in game. The game is a terrible GOW clone with inaccurate shooting. It only has 4 types of enemies and is the same scenario setup each level, copy and pasted into a new level. I have dubbed it the worst shooter played this year by far and I've played some shit games this year.

Yeah, when you hear the game is about 4 hours long. It's not worth sixty dollars. How come they can't just make a bad ass Terminator game that is an FPS and is team / class based. That would be perfect. Something similar to the Battlefield franchise. It would be so good! Yes, I know Terminator: War Of The Machines was released before and was the closest thing to that. But it didn't do good. I want one to come out and do good. It can be done, IT CAN HAPPEN! IT MUST! I saw there's a Terminator Source mod coming out and it looks / sounds awesome. But I have a feeling it will never happen. :(

I've heard how horribly short it is. It's also hilarious that the developers fucked up the PC release and anyone who buys a retail copy of it cannot even get it to install correctly because of an installer error.

This mght the easiest game to get 1000 achievement points on though. There are only 8 achievements, 7 of them you get automatically for beating each level on any difficulty setting, and the 8th you get by beating the game on the hardest difficulty setting.

The graphics are so ass-terrible on the 360 version, it's almost unbelievable. Considering the length and quality of the game, though, I doubt getting it for the PS3 would really be worth it anyway.

Egads, 3 hours? That's ridiculous. And nary a Christian Bale taunt button to be featured? Preposterous. Why can't there be a good Terminator game? Besides Robocop v.s. The Terminator, of course.

I'm actually going back to Family Video and telling them to credit my account for the extra 4 days I have this game toward BC tomorrow. It looks decent, but far better than this abomination.

The story is craptastic but they nailed the swinging physics and the combat is really rewarding I loved it.

Kinda a short thought but what game isn't these days.

and if you're gonna play BC do yourself a favor and play with the Retro costume it's way cooler than this dread-douchebah calling himself Nathan Spencer.
