Now, as many of you probably know, I've already outlined
who I think the next Batman villains might be. And he certainly isn't in that list. Why? First of all, way, way, WAY too similar to the Joker, especially the direction Nolan would take him. Secondly, a bit too cuetsy for the Nolan-verse of Batman movies. Could you really see someone going around, planting riddles for Batman to find and decipher, before committing big crimes? Plus, as many Batman aficionados know, he's not really a major villain of Batman's. Hell, he wasn't even a common character in the comics until a badass dude named
Frank Gorshin made him wickedly awesome.
But, on the flip side...
I would actually enjoy seeing The Riddler as a villain because of what Nolan can do with him. As we all know, The Riddler is a genius. He's keen at making puzzles, creating grand schemes, etc. But, he's also obsessive compulsive. These riddles are part of that compulsion. In fact, as is made evident in one of his main story lines, The Riddler can't even commit a crime without leaving a riddle behind. Going into the depths of a character's madness is a common trait in the Nolan-verse, and one I'd like to see reoccur in the next Batman.
As for the picture, whether it's fake, or the work of a ninja who, I believe, would've literally had to crawl inside Chris Nolan's brain to dig out this information, you gotta admit, it's pretty cool.

as for dent coming back, i definately think it's a posibility. villains "dying from falls" have the tendency to come back.
Especially considering i dont really remember seeing the coffin at the wake.

In the first movie, Vale was a photographer. But, in the comics, she was a reporter (I believe), so there may be something there. Good eye.

Jim Carey as the Riddler was horrible. He was doing another version of the TV show Riddler, not comic book or the 90s animated series Riddler. I want him to be obsessed with mocking Batman with his riddles, not saying "Spank you. Spank you very much."
The Phantasm first showed up in the Batman Animated Movie, she was Bruce's Ex-Fiancee who had vengence against the Joker on her mind. Not only would she fill in a hole that is now empty thanks to Rachel dying. Also, what really needs to be done is someone who is a lot like Batman but something kinda like what Batman could of become.
As someone said, I'd like to see Harley Quinn in one of the Batman films or even a new Penguin perhaps.
Either way, as long as Nolan is in charge it'll be fucking epic.
2: Riddler in no way shape or form anything like the Joker. He isn't cutesy. He doesn't leave riddles behind all the time, thats the way he used to be. If you read the Hush storyline, he leaves clues more than anything. His whole thing is trying to outsmart the batman, by leaving clues that would even stump the worlds greatest detective. Seeing as how Nolan doesn't want to make Batman smart "durr dog bit me, need a new suit", I think the Riddler would be sweet.
But it's two early in the movies for a Riddler villian, because you need more backstory in this bat-universe for him to be worth while.
I think that Mr. Freeze would do a great job, it would still fit this universe, and we all know that they like to use gizmos and gadgets in these movies, so, we could see some thermal gloves. plus it would fit the m.o. "durrr I am cold, need new suit"
Because comic movies always follow canon, right?
man, that poster is good.... 2011 sounds about right. It doesn't look fake but what does that mean? It could be just a great fake or something to throw people.

Plus, I doubt they will make Ras Al Goul immortal but maybe make it that he didn't actually die - we never saw his corpse, did we? I've seen it a few times but I don't think so. He may just come back but they leave it unexplained, so's to keep in line with the world more fixed in reality.

Mr. Freeze with his animated series origin would be awesome. Before that, he was a joke character. Captain Cold had more back story than him. With this "Nolanverse," super natural elements seem out of place. I think we'd see the Ventriloquist before Mr. Freeze.
As for Depp... meh.

Buuuut . . . that's a tricky one. The actor that played Coleman Reese is . . . not strong, from my point of view. It's a bold setup, but can that guy really carry the role? Not that they can't change actors . . . but I personalyl have never been a big fan of that.
That significantly cinematic fall that Batman took next to Dent kinda softens him up for that iconic backbreaker from Bain. I'm thinking he's a likely candidate

I can't remember who, but someone said that since there are hundreds of villains in the series, the Riddler and Catwoman will not be the villains for the next movie.
And the use of The Scarecrow shows that Noland will use all villains, no matter how obscure, just so long as they're awesome. So, we may very well get someone that hasn't existed for years.
