Yes, that's right folks. EGM is coming back!!! This makes me a very happy person. EGM was (and still is) the greatest gaming magazine available today. I believe it was a sad day for us all when it was announced that Ziff Davis was getting rid of the great gaming publication. Now, EGM is to be relaunched sometime before the end of the year!!! Is it too early to start sqee-ing while buying my new subscription? Anyway, there's been a new website called EGM NOW that will (I assume) be updating us about the new direction the magazine will take. So, check out the site (or follow the Twitter) to see what the future holds for EGM.

James Milke on his 1up blog talks about meeting with Steve a few months ago to advise him on restarting the magazine and while he's not sure if he will return he mentioned seeing multiple other people from EGM's history visiting steve as well, he only hints that Dan Hsu was one of them though.
