If I had a DS, that would honestly be the first game I'd get. I really want to play it, but I just don't do much handheld gaming anymore. :(
@Pedrovay2003: That is totally awesome man! I will definitely move aside and let you take your rightful place as the best Mega Man 9 player on Destructoid. I am pretty confident that I could come close to matching, if not beating your clear time, but I don't think I could do it without dying. That is trulu a remarkable feat that deserves praise. CONGRATZ MAN! :-)

I just finished the game at 3:08:50 on my first play through. I'm starting to doubt I can beat Silver Dragon's time and now you come along with this.
Maybe I can do it in under an hour with practice. But I doubt I'll have time to do it within a month like I told Silverdragon. You guys are faster than me at finishing Mega Man 9.

Heh, you forget, to go with the not dying thing, even one life lost means starting over. :P There were lots of specific four-letter words that I screamed quite a few times. :P
Honestly, it helped that this was my third playthrough. Knowing the stages and what you're in for really helps a ton.
Also, SAVE A LOT. If you save your game and then screw up, you can reload your save and start from there. If there's a save feature in the game, use it as much as you can, I always say.
your saving idea is what i used to play through mgs4 and not kill or be seen at all(bandana and stealth camo in 1 playthrough damn im good)
took 5 times longer to finish the game that way though

It's true, saving does help. For the record, I only actually had to reload my save once single time, so I'm still quite proud of myself. :P

I'm honestly thinking of doing that next. I used like 2 during this playthrough, but I really needed them.
I have the 360 version, my best clear time is 00:43:00. Unlocked the jitterbug, no dying and no continues achievements all in the one run. Did I mention I did this with the 360's shitty dpad too? Just checkin'.

Does anyone have the 360 version? I believe you can look up my gamertag on the leaderboards. Mine is Sabrehockey1970. Should be around 70 on the list I think.
No point in making a blog about it when the best people have beat this shit in like 25 minutes. THAT is disgusting. Still, I hope to get the remaining 3 achievements I need in the 360 version. I think Conservationist and No Coffee Break will be tough though. Pedrovay, I too only used 2 E tanks on my run. Both on the final part of the Wily fight too. Hard to dodge those energy ball attacks. Just watched a video on youtube though and I think I know how to dodge them now.

You're playing the 360 version? A question for you, then...
Does the 360 version have more than 12 Challenges? There are like 30 Challenges in the Wii and PS3 versions, but there are only the standard 12 Achievements in the 360 version. Do you just get nothing else for the others, or were the rest of them just completely left out?
Now that is a feat. Well done.
The challenges are in, there are 38 plus the 12 achievements. So I'm guessing there are 50 challenges in the Wii and PS3 versions. Also, in case you're wondering I currently have 44% of the challenges complete, although I don't intend to get all of them. Especially the don't get hit one, fuck that.
