Hmmm... hadn't thought about that. Good observation.
Oh shit...I didn't think about that either.
I'm not getting it anyways but that's a great thing to consider.
Wii is gay. MM9 is fucking awesome.
...Really? I'll have to check this out when I get home...
That's really weird... I just tried it and, yeah, you can't copy it. The only other stuff on my Wii that I can't copy is stuff like the Nintendo Channel data, but that's tied to the machine, so that makes sense. Really, really weird.
@MaxxThePenguin
Yeah I can copy all my game saves other than my saves for Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart, it's bloody annoying.
If you put the entire game on an SD card, does it back up the save? I thought you could back up other game saves...
The whole Wii memory issue is stupid, really.
That's a very good point
Thanks for the heads up.
Between the Wii's save issue and the crappy D-pad on the 360, maybe the PSN MM9 is the version to get. Not trying to start a flame war, just sayin'.
Probably has to do with the DLC. I hadn't thought of this. Fuck.
Yep, I think that's how it happens for any game on Wii, actually.
Does suck.
But, in this case, I can live with that. Losing all my progress in a Mega Man game doesn't sound like the worst thing in the world.
You know what? Somebody try to copy Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 data. YOU CAN'T. That game's not online, it doesn't use Miis, it's a freaking standard OFFLINE GAME. You still can't back your save up.
@Spartacus
That won't work. You can back up most game saves, but a few key ones won't let you, like MM9, Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. It's fucking ridiculous.
@Casual
Honestly, if I had a few extra bucks to blow, I'd actually REBUY it on the PS3. But I just paid $10, and I don't want to again. I DO like the Wii remote sideways better for games like this, but the save issue seriously makes me not want to support it at all.
@Tubatic
I agree, I wasn't about to go show off my MM9 save to all my friends. It's just how pointless it is to lock saves like that to the system that pisses me off.
baawwwww
More reasons why the Wii sucks.
F-Zero GX on the Gamecube wouldn't let you copy either. I don't know why but its not a new thing for the Wii.
Well at least you aren't playing a port.
That's right, 360 and PS3 are ports of the Wii version, ha!
@Blindside
Heh, it's true. I still think the Wii version will be the best, but the save thing sucks a ton.
I love how many people came in here saying that this is proof the Wii sucks. Sad, sad people.
Megaman is this serious?
I like all the swag, but I'll actually pass on the game together, but let me get one thing straight:
You can't save at all, or you can't make copies of the save you previously have?
I agree with you 100%. The fact that I can't copy my enormous SSBB save file to my SD card (which should act like a fucking memory card) makes me rage to no end.
@Dynamic
EXACTLY. That save is fucking huge, and you can't do anything with it.
@Daxelman
You can save, yes, but once you do, you can't back that save up to an SD card. For example, when Nintendo's new system comes out (which will undoubtedly be backwards compatible with Wii games), games like Mega Man 9, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and so many others, you'll have to play through them all over again, just to get the same stuff you already did, because you can't copy the saves to the SD card.
so.................... whats the problem?
that you cant save your game on the wii version?
Ugh, no...
The problem is once you save it, you can't copy it to the SD card.
why is that a factor.... I keep reading that you cant take the save file to your friends house....but honestly what are you trying to accomplish?
For the record, now that I've played the PS3 version of the game, I can safely say the Wii version is the best just because of the controller.
@Furious
I'm not necessarily complaining specifically about Mega Man 9, but the fact that more and more Wii games are doing this. It's more of a storage issue than anything else.
