Not a lot of time to write about this, but if you like charming indie games that suck up a lot of your time, head over to Kongregate and check out ACTION TURNIP, a fun run & gun platformer from Raitendo.


The game has really pleasant music, and a nice mix of gameplay that is essentially Cannabalt plus guns. There is even a TURNABALT mode, in which you just do the whole run-as-far-as-you-can type deal.
Action Turnip doesn't hide the fact that it's heavily inspired by other games, with your main character sprouting streams of Bit.Trip Runner-esque rainbows from the back of him when you enter the Combo mode. Regardless, Raitendo knows how to make fun, and that is certainly something this game is.
On top of that, it has a really nice hand drawn art style, and the music is classic and delightful.
