M$ are in this for the long haul. If they get titles and establish their brand - that's all they need. Time will do the rest.

I sincerely doubt anyone here overlooked it, but maybe someone is writing an editorial of mass length with many valid points? Could happen. Most of the writers here read just as much as ourselves from various sites, it's not something they would miss and I bet there's been much discussion of this issue behind closed doors. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there :D

i've tried to figure out how microsoft can do this, but then i remember they have more money than should be legally allowed. i think you really have to work higher up at microsoft to understand the complete scope of what they are doing by dropping 50 million on EXTRA content. but they feel it will get people to think, "hmm. get a 360 with which i can play grand theft auto with extra content or get a ps3 and play it without the extra content option." I personally have both systems and will be buying it for the ps3 when it comes out. if gta4 is 2/3 as deep as san andreas was, i won't need the extra content. and i certainly don't care what my gamerscore is. that being said, if i come across a copy for $10 cheap, i'll pick it up, but i don't see myself getting the extra content until microsoft starts giving it away.
