People familiar with my writing style have come to know that I am a bit sarcastic once in a while. Well, sometimes. Maybe all the time. Anyways, check this out

I try not to say inflammatory things here for the most part. Mostly because more than half of you are illiterate and will comment without reading an article - judging the whole thing based on the title itself.
Also, because I respect those of you who have the mental capacity to walk and chew bubblegum at the same time without falling over into the fetal position.
The point is, if you're still reading this, your father probably isn't your brother too, in which case, you probably use your PC for gaming; as opposed to just for porn and flaming people on the IGN boards in between your Halo 3 and COD 4 matches on xbox live.
So read the article I linked. It's incredibly insightful, and it's nice to know that the console boomers aren't going to be taking over the gaming industry any time soon.
Interesting read. And by that, I mean:
"HURR DURR, I HAS PS TRIPPLE IT R BEETAR THAN PEESEE!!!!11!!!!ONE!!!"
Seriously though: That article was pretty interesting, Valve making more money selling digitally distributed games as opposed to retail games, I wonder why... Oh yeah. Discs/boxes are kinda expensive. The only thing I ahve against digital distribution (for me) is that bandwidth is going to have to start growing at an exponential rate. The rate that the technology in games and their graphics (also the size of the files) is increasing faster than our bandwidth, which is frustrating.
I like having the box/disc :| Doing both digital and retail is just dandy....
I agree. Bandwidth needs to catch up to the power of our computers. I'm all for digital distribution. Thats less shit I have laying around my house.
Soon transfer rates will drastically increase leaving the gaming community right where we need to be. Even then, the comparison between the rate of technology and bandwidth is a landslide to technology.
For 5 extra pounds, however, that's no longer a problem, and nor should it be.
Both companies are doing pretty damn well for themselves. Both make games for the market they have, rather than the market they're trying to create. Crytek bitch because people don't buy their game. No shit, it's awful. Epic whinge that there's more money to be made on consoles. No shit. When you make a game with a PC fanbase, then don't go with what that fanbase wants (team deathmatch, assault mode) and add shit they don't (fucking hoverboards? no!) then don't be surprised if they don't throw fucking money at you when Valve give them a damn sight better product.
Anyway, rant over. Between Valve, Blizzard and Stardock alone, the platform is doing fine.
The article itself is great.
