The Nintendo Press Conference: My Thoughts
njsykora | 9:06 AM on 10.02.2008 4 comments

First of all lets consider the DSi. Its going to sell like footbaths in hell because of that camera but I'm not going to be buying one because of the lack of a GBA port. It may sound odd to be wanting that when I own a normal GBA as well, but I also want to play Final Fantasy Tactics A2 sometime and as I already have FFTA I want to use the GBA slot for that. I reckon its at risk of becoming the Macbook Air of the DS range. I'll upgrade to a Lite sometime later.

DS Ware and possibly DS Virtual Console. I have but one thing to say.

I FREAKING CALLED IT!!!

New Punch Out, if it can recreate the fun of Wii Boxing while being a bit more complex (MotionPlus needed) I can see myself buying this, no matter how predictable it was. Also it should serve as a reminder to the Facebreaker team, this is how its done.

Sin and Punishment 2. Fuck yes.

Another Code 2. Fuck yes.

New Tales game. Fuck yes.

Taiko no Tatsujin Wii. I think this is a necessary import.

Overall, this was exactly what Nintendo needed to do following E3's disaster. Easily 5 new games geared towards the old Nintendo fan but still with that lingering aftertaste of Wii Music to sour proceedings. I think Wii owners who've region free'd their consoles have a lot to look forward to.

Also, FUCKING KLONOA!! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!!

@Dork

Excited doesn't even begin to cover it. I have such a massive hadron for the Klonoa games and Door to Phantomile is so hard to find over here.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
