Earlier this week I wrote an article over at Negative Gamer that led to some people accusing me of being something of a prude. Possibly even anti-tits-in-videogames. Well rest assured I'm not against having tits in videogames. Let me show you just how pro-tits-in-videogames I am.

Beach Spikers - £5

"It's hot, it's sweaty, it's beach volleyball! Bring a friend along for the hot girl on girl action!"

That is honest to god the blurb on the back of the box. I have had this game before I must confess, my sister lent it to one of her friends without my permssion about 4 years ago. The friend in question unsurprisingly nicked it. So here's my official stance about tits in videogames. I don't care how big they are, how exposed they are or how focused the camera becomes on them. I only ask that the game the tits are in is good, fortunately Beach Spikers is freaking amazing. Without question it's the best beach volleyball game ever (because the competition isn't very good) and it's genuinely a very fun game. This stems primarily from the fact that the game comes from the same team responsible for Virtua Tennis. Give a good dev team a good project and not even the breast content of a harem anime can ruin it.

Of course, it helps if your breast filled game has a character creator option.

Let me guess, your players cup size is OVER 9000!

Sorry I had to get that one out eventually :P
Mmmmmmm, butt battles.
Screen cap pls.
Well done sir, well done indeed.
Nice find! I played the heck out of this game the first time I got my hands on it. That was until I had to return the game to the local video store and deleted my saved files. Starting a new career in this game is a test of patience due to the incompetent AI of the partner...

Anyway, while I can't exactly counter with a game for £5, I picked this one up in near perfect condition at a flea market for 7 Euros:
What the fuck would be the problem even if you were a prude? People are so God damn critical these days, especially when they can be internet tough guys.

It's fun to rag on someone's shit blog, but to question their character, especially if it's not a particularly negative trait is really dickish. but, I suppose negative gamer is a bastion for internet tough guys....

This was a funny little blog, by the way, and brought a smile to my face. If you weren't friend listed, you are now. Also, nice haiku on podtoid 100!
@Alanar

Absolutely amazing find, I've been looking for a copy for myself for ages. Maybe when I do International £5 Challenge next week, man that sounds like a bad daytime TV show. I also agree with you on the incompetance of the AI partner. Thank god for controlling both players in Arcade mode.

@Magnalon

Given your harsh and highly critical nature as I've seen it I will consider that praise of the highest caliber. I was sort of expecting to come under some fire for that post, I was effectively criticising boobs.
I tend to think all games should have breasts in them...especially bad ones. I mean if the game has no redeeming value, at least the in game breasts may lighten my disappoint with it.

Also you're still a prude. :)
@NJ
Thanks for the quasi-compliment, haha. I think it's my innate rage with people who don't follow simple directions, like "don't spam the blogs", or "game devs that make sucky games" that I tend to exercise the most.

I suppose I can take solace in the fact that if I'm critical, it's of someone's actions, and not of their character; and you sir, are awesome.
Wasn't DOA beach volleyball purposely designed to be able to be played with one hand?

Beach Spikers is pretty decent. One of the few sports games i owned on the cube (tiger woods was awesome too)
