I think it had a lot more personality/characterisation to it than Ocarina of Time, and that was its biggest draw for me.
That said, I won't be downloading this. I have the GC Collector's Edition twice and the original gold cart which I dig out and play probably bi-annually.
Never played it, been waiting for so long for this to come out...

Agreed- for some reason I'm most fond of Majora's Mask and then Windwaker. I have the gold cartridge MM and the Zelda Collector's disc on Gamecube, but I would still buy it on VC.
Unfortunately I'm NTSC and just jealous of the PAL VC (and PSN store, for that matter). You guys are lucky with all the amazing recent releases.
The only Zelda I've never played.
I swear I still have my original cartridge, too, but I have no idea where it is.
The freezing problem is traced to having the rumble feature enabled while playing it. I did experience a little bit of slowdown in one area, the Clocktown square, but that's all.
