Lara Croft - The Boob Chronicles
nixiepixel | 12:41 AM on 01.23.2009 20 comments

The latest Tomb Raider game royally went down the tubes. Why? Because her chest is getting smaller, that's why! I miss her sandbag lookin' busom. I wrote about this initially in my blog, but a picture means a thousand words.. meet the Boob Chronicles of Lara Croft.

Bigger isn't better I guess..
What do you guys think?

Wow, her belt used to look like a watch.

I blame her hips becoming more realistic.

Clance - classic misdirection, I never noticed a belt.

2006 and 2008 > all, 20030 was getting there.

I mean 2003, not assimilated year 20030 cyborg lara.

why in those early pics does it look like her tits are trying to escape? 1999 especially.

Heh. I think she's gotten better looking over time. Her chest is merely busty rather than ludicrous, and her waist and hips match better.

Where'd you come up with those measurements? Maybe it's just the shading, but I'd swear 1999/2000 are just as big if not bigger than 1996.

2008 was a great year for Ms. Croft; breast-wise that is.

'99 and 2000 look like two UFO's on her chest.

Its interesting to see those changes, you can see that, Eidos didn't really want her changed much to start, but change was inevitable. Its unfortunate that Eidos haven't realised the sex sells bit isn't needed anymore. TR should be able to stand up on its own as a decent game, but overkill has.....well killed sales.

Yep, she's housing two ICBMs in earlier designs, which looked odd even back then. Her design has progressed well but overall not that much.

Ten years of her has me tired of the sight of her. This is what happens when characters are pushed in our face to much, in games that haven't changed much either.

Good post Nix.

98s the best! yeah.
nixiepixel's Destructoid Blog
Oh, yeah.. I just made those measurements up really -- along with getting snippets of Eidos saying "what lara's chest size would be if she was a real person" type deal.. =)

I remember reading an article like this in a gaming mag.

I think it was EGM, I don't really remember, it was a real long time ago...

Judging from this timeline in about 10 years we should have a game starring Loli Croft.

Mario Kart Love Song (until I come up with something myself ^.~ )

V1:
You be my princess
I'll be your toad
I'll follow behind you
on rainbow road
Protect you from red shells
wherever we go
I promise.

V2:
Noone will touch us
if we pick up a star
If you spin out
you can ride in my car
When we slide together
we generate sparks
in our wheels and our hearts

Chorus:
The finish line
is just around the bend
I'll pause this game
so our love will never end
Let's go again

V3:
The blue shell is coming
so I'll go ahead
If you hang behind
it'll hit me instead
but never look back
cause I'm down but not dead
I'll catch up to you

Bridge:
Don't worry about
Bowser or DK
Eat this glowing mushroom
and they'll all fade away

Chorusx2

and the flower cup
and the star cup
and the reverse cup
