Favorite ever system: Nintendo DS (Sega MegaDrive and SNES a close joint second)
I am totally awesome because:
* I am super good at retro games!
* I have a big spiritual gaming dick (XBOX360 gamerpoint score)
* I am hardcore into SRPGs!
* I collect vinyl figures
I am totally not awesome because:
* I am terrible at anything released in the last five years
* My XBOX 360 score includes 1000 points from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
* I love SNK and Capcom fighters but damn if I can beat anyone at ANYTHING
* I sold my old gaming systems for money rather than selling myself
* I would buy a box full of poop if it had Nippon Ichi's name on it
* I collect vinyl figures
Temple would probably be hard to convert! Darker than the other films. Rendering human sacrifice in Lego = bit close to the bone.
Just finished the Raiders episode, and so far I am super impressed. More puzzle parts, and despite expectations they were not completely trivial. The fight with the boxing Nazi dude took me 20 minutes to figure out (slightly embarrassing, I guess).
Raiders is my absolute favorite of the original trilogy, so I wonder whether the other episodes will be a let-down. Doubt it though; Lego interpretations of Indy scenes are always imaginative and funny, and there is still the same drive to find secrets, collect all the bonuses, and unlock all the characters. Not sure what Traveller's Tales do when they make these games, but all that secret stuff is like crack. I spent hours on freaking LSW 1 and 2. I think any hope of good PhD research just flew out the window.
And then Lego Batman is released! Batman is not quite as awesome as Indy (I may be alone on that count), but Lego anything rules supreme. I am still holding out for Lego Spider-Man; the Spider-Man 3 game broke my heart into tiny, tiny pieces, and I think only a New York made of plastic bricks can heal it.
Arguably more entertaining than any of the Spidey movies:
I played through the Raiders of the Lost Ark episode last night. Target had the game for $50 too, which was a nice bonus.
It's been a lot of fun so far, but I love the scene with Belloq and the C3PO head in the very beginning though.
So you like the new Lego Indiana Jones huh. I am currently trying to get through Lego Star Wars: TCS. I just got to episode 3. When that's done though I was thinking about getting this game. I love the Indiana Jones series and traveller's tales seem to have the whole Lego thing down.
Great Game Beat Last Crusade and Raiders workinf on Doom Now:) Great game great unlockables...I keep saying I am suprised they havent done lego harry potter as Lego already owns the rights to make toys from them ohh well haha
@ShawnKelfonne - Totally! And did you see Luke Skywalker in the snow cave? :-D
@SilverDragon - Traveller's Tales did some pretty neat work in the 90s (e.g. Sonic 3D, Toy Story), but they are really working it with the Lego :-)
@Rockvillian - The propeller thing only happens in a cut scene! I tried to drive the plane into him myself for about 10 minutes, but there is a bunch of other (slightly silly) stuff you have to do first.
@blehman - Yup, I figure most people think that! For me, Batman comes off as a bit of a jerk in the comics.
@Rockvillian - Plane part is a bit disappointing - you just turn in circles - but there are motorbikes, trucks, cars etc. I also heard that Last Crusade episode has a plane section (no idea if that is true!)
