I've spent a lot of time lately trying to communicate my love for this game. We've had some spirited debates about that for the month the game's been out. I've decided to put my money where my mouth is and try to get people to play the game through a contest that is somewhat inspired by Haxan's HD Remix contest. It's simple; you register by responding to this post with your PSN ID, team of choice and then friend me on PSN. Include Dtoid user name on friend invite. That's it. Registration will end at 5pm Central on Saturday, September 12.

Rules
1. This is for U.S. Dtoiders only.
2. The contest will run for 3 weeks. Each week will be Sunday-Saturday. Weekly results will be posted on Sundays; final results will be posted on Sunday, October 4.
3. I will be online several hours a day and participants will have to message me. It will be your responsibility to get in the games for that week.
4. If we have 10 or less participants, I will play 10 games a week per contestant. If we have more, I'll adjust down a bit.
5. Winners will be determined by the number of matches won.
6. If we have 10 participants, I'll give away first, second and third place prizes. If we have more than that, I'll give away 1 prize per 4 players; i.e., 16 players=4 prizes, 20 players=5 prizes, etc. I reserve the right to create additional prize categories.
7. Games will be played in a locked 2 player room with no voice chat. This helps remove lag spikes.
8. Players can choose to play all games at once or through several sessions. In the chat area in the room, I'll keep players informed. No make up games.
9. This contest will be held on the PS3 only. I don't have a 360.
10. Matches will be standard rules - 3 on 3, 60 seconds per round.

Schedule
These times are general, as real life can affect this. All times are Central.

Sundays: 1-3 pm; 6-8pm
Monday: 5:15-6:15pm
Tuesday: 7-9pm
Thursday: 7-9pm
Friday: 7-9pm
Saturday: 7-10pm; no games on Saturday, September 19 because I'll be out of town.

Prizes
The prize list is not final. I have a few sealed PS2 SNK games - King of Fighters XI and Fatal Fury Anthology volume 2, retail $15 each. I've also ordered a few SNK Trading figures (retail $12 each) and a collection of CvS2 Chibi keychains(retail $10 for a set). If the community impresses me, I'll add a King of Fighters PVC figure(MSRP $35) and the King of Fighters Art book(MSRP $22). As I said earlier, the number of players will determine the number of prizes.

Update: I just got back from Toys R Us with SNK Arcade Anthology and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum for PS2.

Update 2: Mai PVC has been purchased for the contest. I got her for a great price on eBay. I lucked out on this one. She's 6 inches tall and new in box. The box does have some shelf wear.



When the results are posted, I'll list the prizes. First places chooses a prize first. Second goes next. Winners determine their prize from the available list.

Just so you know: My PS3 is wired to my router, my ports are forwarded and my connection is 24down/6up service.
