Old-school gamer. I started gaming with the Atari 2600. I became an addict with the arcade release of Street Fighter II at my college. The SNES release pushed me into buying that system and a lame arcade stick. I haven't looked back since then. I still consider the 16-bit to be the Golden Age of gaming. The current generation is keeping me pretty happy, especially with the fighting game renaissance that's happening lately. And, yes, I'm old.

@Senisan and casualweaponry: I loved your rivalry. Part of me wants to watch you two battle.
@Magnalon: I hope to see you tonight. I don't have plans to be on tomorrow since I'll be on the road for a large part of the day.
there you go with the crazy talk again. You ocassionally get lucky, but now you're just reaching :P
@Nilcam
Yeah, I don't even know how our rivalry started. But as soon as as Senisan surrenders and admits I'm the better gamer in every way, I'll end the war :D
Its kim's little kick uppercut that kills me. Seems to be unstoppable and ridiculously safe on block. The rolling in this one seems super unsafe too. Even Goro's command roll is waaaaaay less safe than in other years.
I beat Nilcam's Kyo ONCE and got OCV'd all 4 other matches. Just goes to show you that you can practice all you want, can learn all the moves and strategies and know all the approaches and defenses, but absolutely nothing can replace just playing the damn game. I was wholly unprepared for the way online games play out, and I'm not sure any amount of practice is going to let me overcome this other than just playing online more, which isn't going to really happen.
But, now I know what I need to train for, so we'll see how next week plays out.
