Old-school gamer. I started gaming with the Atari 2600. I became an addict with the arcade release of Street Fighter II at my college. The SNES release pushed me into buying that system and a lame arcade stick. I haven't looked back since then. I still consider the 16-bit to be the Golden Age of gaming. The current generation is keeping me pretty happy, especially with the fighting game renaissance that's happening lately. And, yes, I'm old.

So yeah, my advice is if you're planning to upgrade then get a SE and the parts right away and just go for it. If it will take you time to accumulate then grab a Hori.
I'm sure people will disagree, but the madcatz stick is horrendous.
That being said, I'll try to have this by the end of spring next year, if not sooner.
The North American release will indeed be online, if I remember correctly. I still think fighters are better played in person, though.
I'm so ready for this game. I don't need a stick, though, as long as I have the Classic Controller, which has the best d-pad ever created by the gaming industry.

Also, LAN adapter = win, bought one long ago.

people hating on madcatz sticks are getting just that: Madcatz sticks
stop wasting money on a SE and get a TE. But anyway...can't wait for TvC. granted SEs are good after customized, but if you want simple and easy, TE > SE.
Hopefully, my friend's online will actually support this game, unlike KoF. I want to play a legit match in SOMETHING against you, Nilcam.
The dpad on the classic controller is far from the best in the world, but it is pretty good. I prefer the analog stick for this game though(though I am forced to use the dpad in Guilty Gear).
Still, I'd be up for some TvC with you, Nil. I need some revenge after my thorough KoF beatings!
