Old-school gamer. I started gaming with the Atari 2600. I became an addict with the arcade release of Street Fighter II at my college. The SNES release pushed me into buying that system and a lame arcade stick. I haven't looked back since then. I still consider the 16-bit to be the Golden Age of gaming. The current generation is keeping me pretty happy, especially with the fighting game renaissance that's happening lately. And, yes, I'm old.

Dokapon Kingdom for Wii and PS2.

They're describing it as a friendship destroying RPG/board game. The game can be played either alone or with friends. In multiplayer mode, the key to victory is fucking over the other players. It seems that players can steal from each other and change each others' names.

The bright, colorful graphics and cute character designs are very endearing to me, so I find myself quite interested in this title, but the board game descriptor is somewhat unnerving. I wonder if it's related to the GBA game that was released here or the Gamecube game that was not released here.

Sounds cool...but I'm getting tired of the Wii games that are also released on the PS2. I love both consoles, and I love Atlus (Persona 3 FTW), but it just feeds the anti-Wii fanboys to do a dual release..."har har! your game is weak and is being released on the PS2!!!1!!!11!!!"

I don't really see why companies are continuing to release games on the PS2. Anyone who would even think about still buying a game for their PS2 already has a Wii.

Anyway, it looks pretty interesting. I'll be looking forward to hearing some more information about this one.

I don't need games to destroy friendships. I do it perfectly fine without them.

@Alexradl: If they release the same game on the PS2 for ten dollars less than yes that would be a reason to get it on the PS2 if all things are equal.

I'm intrigued to say the least. I hate Mario Party with a passion because of the randomness, but I do love RPG's. And if you actually have to work at it to win and not just be lucky (or have shitty AI) than I could be all for friendship destroying!

well altus is probably trying to slowly move toward the wii but there games sell so well for the PS2 it's hard to move away. Plus anyone who says a game coming out for he PS2 is weak just because of that fact can kiss my ass. I play more games on the PS2 then any of the newest consoles.
