Blizzard set the new bar today, All World of Warcraft accounts to be converted.
nightv | 11:18 PM on 10.12.2009 12 comments

If your a Blizzard fan, or a World of Warcraft fan you will undoubtedly know that today marks the start of the 30 days you have to convert your WoW account to a Battle.net account.

This is the start to ham agenize the game base that they have which will later consist of Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3.

I for one welcome the change as I am an avid Blizzard fan and will be on Diablo while most my friends will still be playing wow or moving on to Starcraft 2.
I hope this is the first set to building a great Blizzard gaming community and I hope that there will be even more games to be added later.

What do you all thing about this, or do you not give 2 squirts of piss since it is a pc game?

edit----
(side note= I know I put ham agenize, and not homogenize, as the joke was meant to mean they are bleaching all their meat to look the same, as the meat being the games.)

Is this post awesome? Vote it up!

"ham agenize"

Do you mean homogenize?
nightv's Destructoid Blog
I did that as a joke but I guess that is not funny....

So what, does that mean WoW is going to be free now?

Wry Guy has a really good point. nightv, where did you see this announcement? Link/email me please
nightv's Destructoid Blog
No, what this does is link all Blizzard games (World of warcraft, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, ect.) in to one account that you and your friends can talk to each other and what not through. I.E. lets say I am playing Diablo 3, and my Friend Is playing World of Warcraft, they can message me and see me online through Battle.net as well as I can see him/her, and we can talk to each other from the prospective games.

Yeah, wow will still cost money, but the rest of the games will be free to play on battle.net. Basically they are merging it all so it's one network.
robotbebop's Destructoid Blog
It's worth noting that people have had the option to merge their B.Net and WoW accounts for quite some time. Now they're making it mandatory.

Sounds fine. I don't play WoW but I am going to buy Starcraft 2, so it will be nice to be in contact with my more common MMORPGing friends.
