I just went to go get brawl at my local gamestop which claimed to be part of the midnight release. I show up completely closed and empty. Wtf I wasted money taking taxi's to get to and from there for absolutely nothing. And of course the weather outside is not good at all its cold and very windy. Do you know how much fun it is standing outside for half an hour when its really cool and windy hint not fun. If gamestop thinks I'll just accept being outright lied to its got another fucking thing coming and it will be very lucky if it ever gets a cent from me again.

I just picked it up from Wal-Mart 10 minutes ago. No fuss. No line. Plenty of copies. This is why I never pre-order from Gamestop. Especially when it comes to big-ass games like SSBB.

all the people at my local one were lined up at 9, freaking craziness, i wanted in on the tournament. i should have stayed :/

dude, all the midnight launches from the east coast were canceled for gamestop because of the weather. this is why you call beforehand.

my gamestop lost power from about 8 to 930 due to weather, but were still able to fo the tourney and everything. Was there power? mall store closed because the entire mall was out of power. Sucks dude, sorry.

I'm more mad at the fact these idiots near me decided to do the tournament at 1pm today without telling anyone...then making everyone believe the damn thing was still happening at launch.

what dumbasses. I'm glad Smash is probably the last game i'll ever bother getting at Gamestop. I would've loved to attempt to get a new tv, some money and Nintendo library.

Considering that you can look online and see a list of what stores are having the midnight release, I don't see what the deal is. I reserved mine at a mall so I won't get it till 10AM. My friend went across the street to a plaza and got it a few hours ago with all the others.

So yea, always all ahead. It's a "participating stores only" deal, so it's your fault for not verifying it ahead of time.

I live in upstate NY and i just got my copy a couple of hours ago. There was a line of about 60 or 70 people when i showed up. Had to wait outside for about half hour its fucking cold out. I have no idea why they would close its not that bad out at all. Just windy to me.
