For those of you who play Puzzle Quest, I trust you can shared in my frustration over the first “Boss” of this fun game. Dugog was/is a two headed Orge that has a air of luck about him that almost feels like he is the one placing the tiles where he wants them to be. That son-of-a-bitch will get 4 and sometimes 5 combos in a row, which will do some serious damage to you. This is only compounded by his weapon that has a random chance to add 12 more points of damage to his attacks! And by “random” I mean EVERY OTHER TURN! I have fought against him time and time again only to be slammed like a drunken slut at a frat house. I have gone on as many side quests as I could find and I have fought many an instant battle just to level my character up enough to take that bastard.
Last night I did so. With rum flowing in my veins and Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47: I. Allegro moderato resonating though out my small apartment I let out a victorious yell. “FUCK YOU, YOU TWO HEADED COCK MONGER!”
I slept well after that. Quite well.
Also, I would like to acquire this spell… Deathbringer
dude its all about a mage with a weapon whose power increases with fire magic, boosting your fire mana stat, getting fireball (take out 3x3 grid) and "wake the dead". after you turn mana into skulls target the +5 skulls with fireball and you can take out pretty much anything.
My druid has the everloving shit pumped out of her green mana and with the shield spell that takes damage from there rather than health I can almost kinda sorta get him to 1/5th health. Then I mana drain and move my Carraige of Hope to the Parking Garage of Sadness.
Dugog is always a pain for me. Not only does the prick have a badass weapon, but his second head lets him get a turn whenever he matches GOLD?! Come on! The screen is flooded with that stuff!
Yeah, I too had difficulty beating him on the DS version. But on the XBLA version I don't I ever dropped below 3/4 health. In fact, my Knight in the XBLA version has been rolling over every challenge with the utmost of ease since level 10 or so. Maybe that Ultimate Troll ring is too ultimate.
