This is a really quick blog post that I need to write. Destructoid I would like to thank you! On your age rated videos you have a simple entry box, which asks the viewer to type in their date of birth. This is very quick and very efficient, which is pretty necessary in our rapid world of internet browsing. For some reason i get really annoyed when im ripping through web pages and have to stop, scroll downs lists of dates and years to watch a video. Come on internet, surely you have realized that we are all born on January 1st 1940 by now.

(and yeah, I never understood age verification... people have always lied about their age. We start out by saying we're older, then we gradually start saying we're younger. On those age verification things I'm only 20!)

It's ESRB bullshit. THe ESRB demands pubs/devs to make sure the sites posting M rated trailers have an age gate. If they don't, they'll get in trouble. It's really stupid, I know.

A while back, on a site I will only say I shouldn't have been digging through, there was an age verification and if you made it sone ridiculous site it said "You're way too old to be visiting this site! What if you have a heart attack?" I always thought that was funny. Kinda wish more sites acknowledged the ridiculousness of the age verification bullshit with little stuff like that.

I'm actually Immortal and was born long before 1901 but that's the age I have to chose on those drop-down lists. Sigh. Life sure is rough.
