Happy Burfday to Metroid/Samus Aran and Chrono Cross

Metroid is 23 years old today in North America August 15, 1987. Technically Metroid (NES) was released first in Japan on August 6, 1986 so it makes her 24 years old. I never did like original Metroid because you can easily get lost through out the game, 7.0 rating from me. So I prefer the remake Metroid: Zero Mission GBA for making it much more enjoyable. In the Metroid remake you will also find a playable version of Metroid NES version once you have completed the game. Too bad Nintendo is late/delaying Metroid: The other M this summer. It would be awesome if they had released the game on time.

Chrono Cross is 10 years old in the US and you never know if this game will be re-released on PSN someday. The release date for PS1 was August 15, 2000. I do have this game for ps1 except I haven't gotten around to it lately. Still worth playing considering it sort of fits in Chrono Trigger universe somehow. The orginal release date from Japan November 18, 1999.

Ah Chrono Cross. One of the most underrated RPGs ever. And it has one of my all-time favorite soundtracks.

Happy Birthday!
Holy crap, Chrono Cross is ten years old? I remember seeing the opening clip to it and deciding right then and there that, if nothing else, I needed the soundtrack.

The game itself is, as suggested, highly underrated. I thought it was fantastic when I actually got to play it in, like, 2004, knowing it wasn't going to be like Chrono Trigger, and I loved it.

I really wish I could play it again, but I have an EU PS3 and a US PS1 disc. >_<
Living in the EU I will never be able to play Chrono Cross. Oh wait emulators. Still emualtors never give the same experience as the real thing on a tv screen and with a controller.
You might enjoy playing my hack, that I just released: [embed]181677:32296[/embed]
