Obscure Indie Games Part 25: Gear World [sir Xemic]
moshboy | 1:43 AM on 10.17.2009 5 comments

Platformers, in which you control 'blocks' as characters, are usually signs of a pretty amateurish game, however Gear World is one of the exceptions to the rule (see also: Seven Minutes). It oozes retro, although it might be too tough for most tastes but if you like a challenge (and I know some of you do) then you might just dig it.

Perhaps you could offer a little more at once than this. I mean, if you really want to spread the indie love it makes more sense to make a nice big list. I'd be interested to see a nice list of indie games.

C'mon, make it happen.

Hmm.. I could post the other videos I've done so far I guess. As you can see, it's at part 25 and I only started posting here a little while ago.

I had different plans though. Like when I reached part 50 or 100, making a compilation video of all the parts so far.

Well there's not very much content here, that's the thing. If you don't want to cover more than one game at a time, perhaps you could write more about it instead. If you love the game, gush about it. Tell us why you love it. Convince us we should play it.

I doubt the length of my blog posts would ever match up to yours but I'll give a shot at writing a little more in future posts as time permits. These aren't my favourite indie games of all time or anything mind you - many of contain unbalanced difficulty or could be flawed in other ways but they are games that I feel could have received some more attention nonetheless.

Not every blog needs to be as long as mine. You've got indie insight. I don't. You're in a position to inform people in a way a lot of people on the CBlogs can't, so whatever info or thoughts you have on the game couldn't hurt. I don't really have the time to play indie games with the way my collection is right now, but if you wrote some good stuff on the games you cover I'd still like to see what kind of cool ideas indie developers are having.
