Why? Cause they are extremely high quality, well done continuations of series which were polished to a glossy sheen and then released to widespread critical acclaim. Then idiots said that they were the pinnacles of their respective mediums even though they hadn't really advanced it in any real way. They are only examples of well paced, well produced, well directed items which hadn't done much of anything in terms of amazing innovations or meaning, just kind of skirted around it and said "Oh hey, aren't we deep?"
