Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Really though, I'm sure you'll do a great job so long as you respect the character and his legacy. Besides, Wesker doesn't have quite the vocal legacy of say, Solid Snake, so mixing up the performance a bit while still keeping true to the spirit of the character wouldn't bother me one bit. After all, people do experience changes to their vocal patterns over time, even Solid Snake (though in his case that just means he gets even more gravelly), so people should hardly expect Wesker to sound exactly the same every time.
Again, that all depends on the quality of the performance. I don't know how many other DToiders out there are with me on this.
I'm sure you'll put in a solid performance. For me (only played the original all the way through on the Gamecube), Wesker's more about the character than a distinctive vocal legacy.
Also, you're the bomb in the Geico commercials, yo.
Also, major props. Don't see stuff like this happen too often. Hopefully it will get some of the crazy / uber fan boys that have their panties in a wad off of your back. :)
it's not like the voices are "Chaos Wars" bad...
