Mimi here, this is my d-toid blog. After much coercing from fellow d-toid blogger, Togail, I've finally made my own.
I'm an Orlando, FL based self-proclaimed gamer and artist. I grew up playing video games due to the kindness of my father. My earliest childhood memory is asking why we had to shoot the ducks with the zapper and if it hurt the ducks...
I've grown to love and appreciate all forms of gaming. I love the 360, the Wii, the PS3. I maybe called indecisive but hey, that's me.
Favorite games: Final Fantasy IX, XII
Silent Hill 2
Resident Evil 1-4
Left 4 Dead
Poke'mon - all of them :3
Puzzle games <3
Growing up a tomboy meant that I had to fit in with all the guys, of course this meant playing their favorite games. This meant that after school I would hang out with my guy friends as they would laugh at how Lara Croft's boobs were so cool, and how they wished women looked like SF girls minus the roid-rage.
I grew up playing Street Fighter games and fell in love with Cammy. She was my default character until I was introduced to Darkstalkers where I instantly fell in love with Morrigan Aensland. I had no idea as to why I loved her, hell I still don't know why I love her. I never really use her. But I suppose it's her skimpy outfit that draws me to her everytime...that and the wavy hand thing she does while idle...or the fact that she acts you with her wings. Either way, I love CAPCOM's heavy breasted women, but like the succubus she is, Morrigan Aensland has my heart.
Now as an illustrator and doodler I love women. Being the gamer I am, I wanted to pay homage to my one of my favorite characters, so I started of by painting Morrigan.
She's painted on 300lb Arches watercolor paper.
Dimensions: 20" x 15"
I used watercolors, oils, acrylics, Copic markers and my blood.
Sketching took 2+ hours, and painting took me about 4+ hours on and off. (House, Heroes and SG:U were distracting me...) She is a labor of my love, she is also going to the loving hand's of Togail.
I'm now inspired to paint other favorite characters of mine. But in the mean time, here you are.
