Sweet Jesus, that is beautiful.
@ Reaprar
or will you?
Oh man, that's amazing. I gotta check this place out when I get a day off.
I just bought Goldeneye 64 there today... good times
I came.
Ooooo...looks like I'll have to pay it a visit.
Wow. Why can't I live in Chicago?
I'm gonna have to check that out. Belmont and Clark is just up the road. Nice find!
OH MY GOD. I LOVE YOU. I've been looking for a retro gaming store in the area for so damn long. I'm SO going there as fucking school is over.
OMG .. I'm going to Chicago next week. This will be a perfect place to visit!
Well, now I know what to do when I go to Chicago, exactly how far is this from the magic mile or whatever.
it's in the lakeview neighborhood, kind of by wrigley field. a bit of a hike from michigan avenue, but you don't want to hang out on michigan avenue unless your idea of fun is forever 21 and the gap. take the red line to the belmont exit, walkable from there.
PLUS this store is by...
chicago comics - hands down best comic shop in chicago. home to all your small press and graphic novel needs.
A-OK - fairly new designer toy store. it's pretty awesome.
once you get past all the jackass cub fans, it'd be a geek heaven in a one block area (if it had a decent record store and co-op bookstore in the proximity, but i digress.)
Heheheh, "Magic Mile".
I came.
Also, I'm totally there.
Nice find.
FUCK YEAH!! finally, something good in Chi-town. I'm DEFINITELY checking this store out after my finals are over.
Anybody want to go check it out this Saturday? I'm thinking noon-ish. I just rebuilt my NES and it needs moar carts.
mikeyrab, I'm going to throw a mention of this store in the sidebar of the DtoidChicago cblog as a permanent resource. Hopefully over time, we'll acquire a treasury of game-related local resources.
Thats awesome, wish i lived close....anyone know of a good one in houston?
It's becoming a lovely little geek corridor over there.
There's another place called Video Games Etc on Harlem and Montrose in Norridge just east of O'Hare. They've got a great selection of games, too.
