When I did my look at Mega Man I skipped over VI saying I wasn't too crazy about it. But I decided I'd play it through. I pop Anniversary collection in my 360. (I don't even know why I kept my XBOX.....)
So anyways I decided to play VI. V is a lost cause Proto man's fortress is murder. VII well you know a game is hard when half the passwords you try don't work.....even when they are valid ones.
8 Would be the best.....if not for the jump jump slide slide slide jump bullshit.......
and Astro man's stage
SO Mega Man VI the series Dark Horse even though V, and VII are ass.
One of the things about V and VI that turn me off (and III as well) is that the robot master music isnt the classic one from 1, 2, 4,7, and 8 yet the victory music is the same...
anyways here are my favorite stages in VI
Wind man
Now this person plays this stage totally differently than me. first......Windman is 3rd or 4th for me. 2nd near the end I use the jet to get up there and get those 2 power ups. And I'm gangsta......I use the Mega Buster on him since he has a pattern easier than your mom.
Yamato man
His stage you're doing it wrong...I usually take the other route you use with that other adapter. He did use the right weapon though but I think he faced the fake Yamato man.

ANother dual boss stage.....but it's just here for the music.
So that's my overdue look at the unsung classic Mega Man VI better than I, IV, V and VII
but not as good as 2,3,and 8 and Rockman and Forte (which is harder than me in the morning)
I have the Anniversary Collection for PS2, but I never really bothered with this one. I don't think I ever played it on NES, either.

I f'n hate/hated that part of a great game. I've only messed around with that VI. ALso the x collection is also worth the buy.
You watch your language when you talk about Mega Man 3.
