Ok that's enough. Yesterday marks the 20th YES 20TH song that Rock Band Shares with Guitar Hero World Tour. Coupled with the fact that Activision's CEO is an ASS "If we can't exploit your game FUCK YOU" I'm and I'm only getting GH Metallica becuase I'm a Huge Metallica fan.

"The Kill" - 30 Seconds to Mars*
"Ramblin' Man" - The Allman Brothers Band
"One Way or Another" - Blondie
"Livin' on a Prayer " - Bon Jovi
"Feel the Pain" - Dinosaur Jr.
"Go Your Own Way" - Fleetwood Mac
"Everlong" - Foo Fighters
"American Woman" - The Guess Who
"Mountain Song" - Jane's Addiction
"The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World
"Our Truth" - Lacuna Coil
"Float On" - Modest Mouse
"Lazy Eye" - Silversun Pickups
"Today" - Smashing Pumpkins
"B.Y.O.B." - System of a Down*
"Monsoon" - Tokio Hotel*
"Are you Gonna go my Way" -Lenny Kravitz
"Spiderwebs"- No Doubt
"Love Spreads"-The Stone Roses
"Mr Brightside"-The Killers

That's just ridiculous. I Know if you're getting a sense of Deja Vu You're right I spoke of this before when I still supported BOTH games.

Now it's a matter of opinion yes but Rock Band just delivers. It has the Better Interface, Song list, presentation (GH is too flashy) Community, Instruments, Gameplay, Ok simply put everything Guitar Hero Does Rock Band does better. And why is that?

Harmonix CREATED GUITAR HERO. Rock Band is just an Evolution of what they created And Even then Rock Band takes a piss all over Guitar Hero II (But I admit 1 thing..Miserlou in GH II was pretty kick ass)

None the less Buying Guitar Hero is feeding the Troll. the DLC SUCKS and even after buying $20 in DLC (most of it Death Magnetic and even then WT didn't recognize all the songs) I still wasn't happy with GH WT. The interface SUCKED finding the song you wanted was a pain in the ass, the create a song was fun..FOR 5 MINUTES and the drums as I have been told suck. Put the pieces together and it all amounts to a big pile of Greedy SUCK.

Why Metallica chose Guitar Hero I don't know it at least Guarantees that Activision gets my money one final time. But this does prove on thing. The Growing fact that Metallica is comprised of

4

Complete

Idiots

I wonder if Lars will sue everyone who downloaded the Metallica packs in Rock Band?

Jason was smart to get out while he could. While Cliff Spins in his grave

Well. I'm new to the whole band game thing but I have to say I really like Guitar Hero World Tour. Its fun you know. I was on the fence about which one to get but after IGN confirmed that RB2 would work with the GHWT Instruments (wii) I pretty much went for GH solely for the, in my opinion, superior instruments. I definitely plan on buying RB2 as well, I'm just glad I finally took the plung and got some instruments.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while of how it's ridiculous that they came out with, what, 2 or 3 GH games last year? 2 or 3 are slated for this year as well. Activision is the new EA Sports.

Guitar Hero III was good, and Guitar hero World Tour was just underwhelming. I'm gonna stick with Rock Band.

Eh, life is better without Guitar Hero I've found. So many better games to spend time on.

I think they should have stopped with guitar hero 3. I dont think 4 should have been a band game. They could have made an awesome guitar only game, or a new ip if they wanted to make a band game.

Its not even guitar hero anymore, its guitar band hero

If you truly hated GH you would ignore the Metallica version.

Dude, the guitars in Guitar Hero are SOOO much more superior than the Rock Band bullshit, and while the drums in Rock Band have a bigger sweet spot, I'd trade that for varied drumming with built-in cymbals, instead of buying it seperately bullshit. Song list is a matter of preference there, and in terms of interface, I like the remember what "area" it's in thing. Although, I'd have to say the best iteration of all music games, still has to be Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

I still like both, if mainly because the new way the let you play bass in GH:WT. Also, GH:WT got it right with the first try when it comes to having band world tour online. I still cannot believe RB2 took away the single player progression option of RB1 and the ability to see your stars in the songlist. What's the point of trying to gold star every song now? Also, kudos to GH:WT for picking good bands AND THEIR POPULAR SONGS. Which is something that RB always pisses me off with. "Hey, we're going to pick a really popular band, but overlook their major hits and go for some random songs on the album".

Anyway, RB2 is better overall than GH:WT IMO. But I will still support both.

My friends and I picked up Rock Band and never looked back. We played GH: WT and found it somewhat lacking, although the instruments themselves were cool. The presentation just sucks overall, and my friend could barely read the lyrics because they're all squished together.

Is the music creation thing really that disappointing? I thought this would be one of the major selling points for the game. Has anyone been able to make something cool out of it?

I don't really get what you mean when you said that Rock Band picks popular bands and not their 'popular hits'..
I always thought Rock Band had a better selection of songs from bands. I don't know about you but if they were to have 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' as the only Nirvana song I think I would have to strangle a stork. That song has been played and played and played and, oh yes, played so much. Change is your friend.
Besides when I look at some of the songs from RB 1 and 2 they seem to be pretty popular songs:
"Are You Gonna Be My Girl"-Jet
"Ballroom Blitz"-Sweet
"Black Hole Sun"-Soundgarden
"Blitzkrieg Bop"-Ramones
"Cherub Rock"-Smashing Pumpkins
"Dani California"-RHCP
"Detroit Rock City"-KISS
"Don't Fear the Reaper"-Blue Öyster Cult
"Enter Sandman"-Metallica

The list goes on pretty much through the entire game. And don't even get me started on DLC. That's right there is the main factor of why I chose Rock Band over GH. DLC.

@LOLFace: I never said I only wanted the popular songs. But Nirvana is a perfect example. They released every song off of Nevermind except the most popular ones(and it seems deliberate). Also, Lynryd Skynyrd. Both times in GH has brought us Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama. Now, RB has released some good skynrd songs, but no "Sweet Home Alabama"? Also, when it comes to Smashing Pumpkins, though Cherub Rock is awesome, it is definitely far from their most popular stuff. And the Pumpkins track pack on RB only included mildly popular 1st album stuff, while in GH:WT the pumpkins pack was mostly hits. It's debatable as to which songs are more fun to play, but GH:WT seems to be in tune with releasing good bands AND their major hits. Even though RB is better overall, IMO.

Then you are contributing to your own "problem". I don't think you can blame Activision anymore.
