I have never seen the movie, but have heard of it. Maybe i'll not torrent it.
Yeah, this is a tragedy, although not surprising seeing where Spielberg's coming from these days.

And just as you tell Blehman to stop reading your blogs, if the movie comes out and you don't like it, then you can just not watch it. It's not like they're going to erase the original Oldboy from existence. :D
Oldboy was a very influential film for me, and that hallway scene with the hammer is fucking INTENSE to say the least. I still cannot believe it was done in 1 panning shot, apart from Children of Men a couple of years after I had not scene a better use of a single shot in any film I've ever seen.
But anybody who has seen Oldboy KNOWS that there is no way in hell Spielberg will include any of the.........

...and that would pretty much ruin the extremity and emotional fucked upness of the entire film.
That said, I will wait and see.
