Although Xenogears is a beloved game by many gamers It never got the fanfare it deserved. After doing that post I spent the rest of my day wondering what other games deserve more praise than they got. While it is probably a long list I am going to choose 5 games I feel deserve more than they get.



Toshinden

For a PS1 launch title Toshinden STILL looks good. Today it's bashed as being a substandard fighter with no soul and poor gameplay. This couldn't be farther from the truth. It's a decent fighter and Takara learned from doing Neo Geo ports what worked. the First 2 games are greatness while 3 was showing the series wasn't meant to be long term and 4 never even graced North America. I feel Toshinden should be revived It has a style and flair that few games of that era didn't and the character designs were pretty damned good. By all rights it should be as big as Soul Calibur and Guilty Gear but it was never meant to be.



Jumping flash

Jumping Flash is a groundbreaking game. IT not Mario 64 was the first 3d platformer and the first and so far only platformer to have a first person view. It beats Mario 64 by a year and today in the full on 3d world we're in it's largely forgotten. But a Sequel could still be fun if made right. Being another launch/near launch title for the Biggest system ever it should've been a much bigger title than it was. Mirror's Edge is the only game That appears to be doing what Jumping flash did.



Kuru Kuru Kururin

This Could've been a beloved Nintendo Classic.........If nintendo ever bothered to release it here. It was released in Japan and in Europe never came out here. I spent HOURS on this game it's by far one of the most unique game on the GBA and it could've been a huge sucess for Nintendo instead Nintendo chose to force feed up more sports games with Mario and friends in them.



Valis

Valis never got huge for 2 reasons 1. It was alot like Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden and 2. it was limited to the Genesis and PC Engine. SHown here is Valis 3 the best game int he series. The Music even for a genesis game is spectacular and it was one of the first games to have a Female Protagonist. Valis should be bigger than it is. Yuko should be the Icon that Lara Skank is. But it was not meant to be. A new Valis would be great but probably won't ever happen. The series has been long forgotten.



Otogi

One of the XBOX's best games One of From Software's best games as well. the game did get a sequel and that's where the footage is from. The stuff you could do was amazing. Smashing everything with in a stage and fighting in the air Doing all sorts of crazy shit.
But like Valis it never got the attention it deserved due to it being on a system nobody in Japan owned and XBOX owners here just wanted more Halo. The Games aren't even 360 BC an ever bigger tragedy. But they're worth playing and STILL as many original xbox games do.....look great.
