I didn't agree with everything he said and there are alot of Hoax e-mails supposedly written by him. But he was a Brilliant man. One moment he's taking about Bombing Gangbangs the next he's narrating Thomas the Tank Engine. Though he was an athiest he still spoke truths people of all faiths can understand and get something out of.

Then again

No talk about George Carlin is complete with out his most famous routine either....So there it is.

Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, that place under Mt Fuji that you're in at the end of Ninja Gaiden II. Somewhere in the afterlife just got alot funnier...plus Bill Hicks and Richard Pryor are there too....that's one hell of a good intelligent comedian show......in the afterlife.

More people should check out Lenny Bruce; he was one of the main inspirations for George Carlin.

Good call there, Mxyzptlk. Lenny Bruce's autobiography, How to Talk Dirty and Influence People, is one of my favorite books of all time. It's such a great read, and you really get a sense of his comedic style through his writing. Highly recommended.
