Ever since I started playing it, I've wanted to take pictures and post them online, but they check you for cameras every time before you go into the room to play. Well I thought I'd try something tricky after a few months of beta testing, so I borrowed my girl friend's phone. The guys there trust me enough not to pat me down anymore and they'll let me hand them my phone. So, I took a quick picture of the screen with my girl friend's phone! I want to just send it to you guys because I don't want it to get too much attention (Which is why I'm not sending it to Kotaku, or 1-Up.). But I'll confirm a few things about the game:
- You can play as Blues.
- The graphics are in the 8-bit sprite style, but not the classic Famicom/NES one.
- It doesn't have anything to do with the X series.
- Tango is in it, and works just like the Rockman World Game Boy version.
- The game doesn't support full wide screen YET, but it will.
- It does support 480p.

8-bit but not 8-bit? What does that even mean?
You obviously can't tell much from the screen (if that is indeed a real screen from MM9), but it looks more 16-bit than 8-bit to me.
With that said I have an extremely huge boner for this game regardless.
I think I can handle that sprite design on the little guy.
Also, that's totally a snakeman asset on that thing's tail
big thing for me: he says he's a beta tester, but widescreen hasn't been implemented, which seems like one of those serious, yes, we're almost done, sort of dealies.
So if this is a real screenshot, and its really in beta . . . enh, that's worrisome.
of course, depending on what level of XP this guy is, he could be super-temp/summer intern-ish QA. In for a round, and then out. And he calls himself a beta tester because he doesn't know any better?
enh. I think a bunch off the info we've gotten is clean, but this feels fake right now.

Mega Man 8 hit both major (at the time) consoles. So I don't think it's wii only.

Also they are missing out on an opportunity to connect the Mega Man and X series together. If they don't do it in 9, they need to do it in another Mega Man game.
This screenie looks pretty mediocre.
