360 is out of commission STILL supposed to get it back friday.
anyways TELL ME that is not awesome?
Radiant Silvergun on 2 screens with an arcade stick.
a few issues with my TV though, first off it crops a half inch to an inch off the sides depending on if it's in 720P mode or 1080I
and a quarter inch off the top and bottom not so much an issue for console games and TV/Movies but a HUGE issue for some PC games where you can't adjust the screen ratio. Some Emulators and Doujin games only take input from one of my 2 conveters and even then only through a particular USB port, PC Engine and Jaguar are the 2 biggest pains in the ass.
I can see my self running into some huge problems when I need to start using my as yet untested USB Hub. I have to get the divers off the drivers discs and on to my external drive as they are mini CDs and my Laptop's drive is slot loading I don't want to take a chance on jamming the only disc drive I have especially when my Laptop didn't come with backup discs.
Issues aside I had a blast especially with Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Anybody else have that? I'd like to do some online VS in it.
One of the best 2d fighter's I've played in a LONG LONG time.
I'm having trouble with Saturn Emulation, SSF freezes, Yatsuba or whatever it's called isn't compatable with most of the games I want to play and no matter what I do I can't start emulations with Satuorne. Is there another Emulator I don't know about that runs more smoothly? I only really need it to play Panzer Dragoon Saga and Burning Rangers.
Hmm I'm not sure if Killiera works in Vista yet or not but any one down for some coop? Maybe in Dodonpachi or a Cave Shmup?
I'm down for anything though and if you name a game I probably have it. Drop me an IM on AIM michoyoyoshiku is my screen name we'll see what we can do about the Cave Co-op-a-thon.
I've never heard of that before, if i can see it in motion, it would be pretty awesome.
a request to do a Radiant Silvergun Video?
OK I'm a F'n Do it next week!
Also, Vanguard Princess > Akatsuki Blitzkampf

I can't help you with the Saturn emulation as I have yet to try it...
Also: If you write a blog entry, take some time, read your blog entry and do some spell-checking. It makes reading it sooooooooo much easier...
Stop spouting nonsense. We already went through this, remember? Emulation is illegal as soon as you don't own a copy of the game. Fin.
(Btw, how do you know a game never will be ported? With all those retro collections popping up, I really wouldn't bet on that, even if it would be a real argument)
Annoyingness aside, that's a pretty sweet set up! I'd personally tate it, but that would take some work. How does the STV emulation handle? I remember there used to be some problems with it.
Groove on Fight looks amazing too esp on my TV.
I don't think RS was a game that ran tated it seems to be in 4:3.
Considering how impossible the saturn is, I doubt we'll see ANY ports by anyone but sega themselves and even then the PS2 nights port (amazing one at that) stayed in Japan.
Since RS is unreasonably priced on the gray markets, Tresure won't see a dime from the ungodly amount of money I'd spend on it, I'm 100% justfied and thus legal.
Big mistake there. Justified does not mean legal, unless you're the dictator of your own state and thus the law itself. It is only justified in your eyes. Treasure sure thinks differently about this.
And remakes count as a port in a legal sense, since programming code of the original is often reused in parts of the remake.
But doing some research online I found that Treasure is "considering" an XBLA remake. But this article was dated 1/5/2009...
Because technically they still own the rights to Radiant Silvergun
If you are emulating it, you are stealing the game.
It has not fallen out of copyright, which Michi apparently will never understand. We broke it down to him why it would be so easy for a developer to just pick up this blog and prosecute him, but he won't listen.
Cool game, but like Subenu, do I consider something illegal/larceny the coolest thing ever? Not really.
Isn't this what Michi is mainly refering to about being the coolest thing ever? I don't play emulators but I could care less about the legality. Yarr.
I win.
"NO If I didn't I wouldn't ahve this issue"
Great! It looks like Michi took the bait, fellas!
Running the Sega Saturn BIOS by means of Yotsuba, which you have given proof of running in that screenshot, is ILLEGAL unless you own a Saturn.
All I have to do is type this in google, and with that pic/confession, instant law suit.
YOU JUST GOT BURNED
as the video above shows it's mame
Bottom line:
You do not own a Sega Saturn.
The Sega Saturn's BIOS (which is needed to run it) is ONLY legal to own if you have a real console.
You do not have this console, and admitted it above.
Therefore, you are breaking the law.
How hard is that to understand?

"Please also note that owning a copy of the Saturn BIOS in ANY form without actually owning a Saturn is illegal. The bios files are intended for running Retail Sega Saturn CD-ROMs. It is illegal to download the Saturn BIOS unless you own a REAL Sega Saturn machine. We should not support emulating the Saturn to play pirated games. You should be able to find old Saturn games extremely cheap on eBay or certain second-hand game stores."
We have a link to the bios files on this site, just go to the DOWNLOADS page. Please note: It is illegal to download the Saturn BIOS unless you own a REAL Sega Saturn machine.
The BIOS files listed on this page are hosted externally from EmuUnlim and as such they are not responsible for them. Please also note that owning a copy of the Saturn BIOS in ANY form without actually owning a Saturn is illegal. I own a Sega Saturn console and bought all my games back when they were available at retail. The Saturn BIOS ROMs remain the copyright of Sega Enterprises Ltd.
This is right off the front page you downloaded the files from.
Well the MAME rom is most certainly illegal.
What I'm referring to in the comment above is this passage you wrote:
"I'm having trouble with Saturn Emulation, SSF freezes, Yatsuba or whatever it's called isn't compatable with most of the games I want to play and no matter what I do I can't start emulations with Satuorne"
So how do you win? You still admit to illegally owning a Saturn BIOS, and attempting to load games from it.
unless i'm looking at the pic wrong.
Thank you for continuing after I went to bed.
@Michi
Thanks for the anti-emulation nazi tag. I love it!
Like I explained in the other Michi thread, because we're not moronic enough to brag about it.
It's EXACTLY the same as saying "hey! I got a five finger discount today on this James Bond Box set! It was like $400!!!!!!!! OMG!" and blogging about it.
It's NO different than stealing the ultra rare masterpiece Radiant Silvergun.
I get what you're saying about him bragging about it, but you don't see many people going about saying HAY GUYZ I OWN RADIENT SILVERGUN AND YOU DONT HARHARHARRRR.
just sayin. >_>
Also, what Shin Oni said. Michi can't just go to Wal Mart and pick up Radiant Silvergun. I think people just give him a hard time because he's failed so hard in the past.
